Oh god no! Fancy fish oil for a manufactured cholesterol crisis. Nothing real food can’t fix.

The value proposition is in making a Lipitor vascepa combo. Might work but will take time to do studies and get data to have something to sell.Statins have lost a lot of shine. The side effects and public perception has changed considerably. At least Vascepa has a good safety profile, but so does eating right.

I know someone who participated in proof of concept research on fish oil going back 15+ years ago because it worked for a medical condition in a life threatening situation.

He was taking high grade OTC fish oils. The therapeutic dose was around 15,000mg-20,000mg per day. He sweat a fish odor.

I know people say you can just take it but the researchers he worked with were trying to figure out how to eliminate the odor and pack a therapeutic dose into a single pill.

Nobody will comply with 15 gel capsules per day for very long. What most people take OTC is nice but only mildly beneficial to total placebo. Fish oils have different grades of quality. A high quality OTC fish oil can run $40-$60/month. The cheaper $15/90 day supply is no better than a sugar pill.

Ughh ignorance... you do realize that OTC means that it’s regulated by the FDA?!! regular omega3 that are supplements are not regulated by FDA and have never been tested. Prescription EPA- is a whole different thing. I take it - so obviously I’ve done the research.

Right. It’s a lot of hype over nothing. Typical Pharma BS. I’ve seen one study done by the company with of course stellar results.

This one could happen. It’s a good bolt-on for us with our history of Lipitor and cv experience. Vascepa should go a few hundred million.

Doctors aren’t that easily duped, unless we label and pay them as speakers, KOL’s.
