What a great feeling it is to sign an offer letter from another company, for substantially more money, and actually feel excited again about a job. I did it today. The last time I felt like this was the day before Baxalta was bought by Shire.

Good luck all. There are better opportunities out there. Ever person who has left immunology has gone to a better opportunity.

Do you think Shire/Takeda even gets why this is happening? They either don’t care or are totally clueless.

Shire was the worst. No doubt about it. FO never cared about culture or building a business. He was tasked with putting lipstick on a pig and selling to the highest (only) bidder. Every decision he made was based on that.

But why not give Takeda a shot? They seem to care about culture. Building a sustainable business. Putting patients first. Maybe its lip service, but I dont ever recall feeling good listening to FO or PS talk. I've actually enjoyed our new leaders this far.

Then explain why one of the Reginal VPs of sales for the institutional team and the #1 RBD for the IDST team (both on the last 2 P clubs) left. Poor performance? Shut up. You know nothing.

I think this is good advise. I’m going to give this thing my all and hope it isn’t too damaged to fix.

If the person got more money and likes the job, I say go for it. Sure, people will say you don’t know what the new company is like, but we don’t know what Takeda is like. And we aren’t getting more money. No brainer to go. Most likely a biotech and that culture is very attractive. Nobody who was with immunology would go to a big pharma company.

Immunology will be fine. Everyone take a deep breath.

Why did one VP "leave"? It was either leave or be fired. The past finally caught up.

He left on his own, but I’m sure everyone quickly realized he knew absolutely nothing. He left proactively.

management is a joke with immunology. They let just about anyone become one no matter what age you are #ridiculious

Ya, ummm, if you could be a bit more specific, that would be great.

Really.?. sub par, young reps with little pharma experience are becoming managers and getting rep jobs because everyone good has quite. Look at how many new and young reps/mgrs on the roster! No tenure in alpha-1 period and terrible, young, unprofessional management. What does that tell you.?

Again, you talk in generalities. You’ve said nothing of substance.

Immunology leadership is probably the best leadership team in the country.

If IMM Leadership is the best in the country, then sharpen up the resume whether you're inside or outside of IMM because then we are all F***ed! Whoever posted something about "age" was close, but it has nothing to do with that. It's all about those that Leadership decided in advance should become the next leaders. This decision is made without considering experience or knowledge but very much considers diversity and ass-kissing. This list is made before the jobs are posted or even created (#hospital side) and it's based two things: 1) Diversity and 2) the willingness to move to Boston for 18 months and specialize in kissing the asses of the decision-makers.

Oh yes. Tenured qualified people being discouraged from putting their name in the hat- Some already left because of the favoritism and more will jump ship to where there is more opportunity unless it changes.

Brandon is no longer leading the team. I’m hoping this improves

With Brent carver gone things have to impove. He was hated in specialty and hated in institutional. That man had absolutely no business having the position he did. All he did was kiss ass.
