True. A lot more damage can be done in 4 more days!

No worries. "Doing damage" would require some sort of action.
Based on history, that's not going to happen.

”Action” is not a word that I would use in describing Labcorp management, especially in my division!

I'm sure he will get big fat severance as well..

He will get a severance and walk away from a mess that he helped create. Now we are left holding the bag and taking cuts in salary/commission to make up for it!

He seems to have made a good living at coming and going according to his LinkedIn profile. He has to be an outstanding interview but obviously no substance once he lands the big job. A $4.5M year later everyone figures it out and sends him on his way...I hope he gets a big job with Quest...

Gary is a great person and leader. The people above him did nothing to help support his initiatives and they made him the fall guy. The problems and people causing the issues are still at LabCorp.

Get your facts straight before being a critic.

Thanks Gary for that post. Good luck!

The people above him??? He was CEO of 1 of 2 divisions at Labcorp! Who could cause that kind of problem and IF somebody could do that much damage, he wasn’t the person to be in that job anyway! We need leadership, not titles!

i look at the people he hire! He may have been a great leader, but how can you not see that the leaders you hire are ruining the company? NC

The people he did hire was a bunch of clowns which does reflect on him. Please name one great idea of his that was implemented and please don’t say he didn’t have the backing because as CEO, that’s bs!

I don’t know anything about the alcohol part of it but a train wreck it is. How much financial bleeding needs to be done before they figure out they are letting the wrong people go! But go figure, the people who are making the decisions ARE those people!

Drinking heavily is the only way to get through a day in the NC Region.

All of the gripes aired here have been in play since Roche Biomedical and National Health merged. None of this is new nor attributed to any one individual. There is an almost toxic culture of self promotion, mistrust, and short term financial thinking. Too many people try to undermine any leader trying to change this.

let it be said... when you care about your people and put them first, then in turn they will put your customers first. In the NC region their leader is out for herself! There is no team! It is her division, it doesn't matter whose toes might be broken as she steps on them.

There are several “leaders” under her that have no business in a leadership role. A few they rightfully let go in one job just to be inadequate in another. Most of us think that these people are complete jokes but we don’t take it out on our customers, customers I am sure many of us will take with us!
