This always happens here. Think of all the wasted $ over just the past 5 and a half years that I have been here that our brand and marketing teams have thrown down the toilet. Don't even get me started on the contracts we sign that do NOTHING to increase the share or overall use of our drugs. How's that Vivitrol contract here in Florida for the blues working out? Did it do anything to increase share?!?! All it did from what I can see is increase my goal big time and it did nada to increase our share or even change the trend line down here. Maybe we should try to sign contracts with plans that have a more control. I can think of two others in Florida where a contract would have actually helped. Why do we just give money away? Give it to Sharon or waste it on a contract at a plan where we had a pretty easy access already.
We spent millions and millions on this project and tons of manpower. We got nothing out of it except legal saying no, regulatory saying no, management saying no. No product mentions, no Alkermes mention, nothing. Sharon just took home a fat paycheck. Another project bites the dust at ALKS.
“She’s crazy” usually means an insecure man isn’t able to handle having a female boss. I have no idea if that’s the case here as I’m way too far down the totem poll to know anything about her personally. I will say that extracting a decision - any decision - is like pulling teeth. Then once you finally get some direction about half the time you get a complete reversal with no explanation. Sometimes things change, but you need to tell me why a half dozen well-paid people wasted 3 weeks of company time. Otherwise the next time you say jump they just roll their eyes and take the rest of the day from home.
