Fired for No See DOCTOR Calls

It will be all about Reach/Frequency. If You don’t actually talk to a doc in the office you are in, and someone finds out and reports it, You will be immediately terminated. Has happened to several good reps.

Do they really think in the current Pharmaceutical environment, all the calls are REAL? Most docs walk away while signing for samples. That’s if your not forced to give your IPad to a office gal for a signature. They don’t care - just want their food to feed all the staff. Be careful. You can’t trust anyone.

 

The entire industry is making Reps lie and cheat. A PDI rep on a NVS contract went and got Attorney's after the DM through VP when he was questioned about calls. Management told him to always put detail w/ call and hit X Matrix which was only doable if you lied and cheated so when ABL tried to turn on the Rep, the Rep already had Atty in place.

 

Can you please clarify the above? What is ABL? Did the manager put in writing to put in detail with every call? If you don’t have enough calls, even though you worked a long day, your chewed out. You can work 8-9/10 hours and see 4-5 docs some days. Then, your honest, put in five calls, you get in trouble. I’ve told managers on different contracts I’ve worked on, including Inventiv, unless I lie, I won’t hit the metrics. They don’t say anything except - if you don’t have the right R&F, you can be let go? WTF?

 

It happened in Tampa Florida. The Rep was not fired and the DM (ABL) never bothered or worked with the Rep again. After a period of several months the Rep did leave on his own.

Bottom line it's all BS. And yes you are correct, if you did it their way you would have to make 15-20 STOPS a day to actually give them the matrix they want. Notice I said STOPs because you can sit in an office for 40 minutes waiting and have the gate keeper tell you that the MD can't see you and you are not suppose to take credit for that effort or time? That is BS! Who wouldn't take credit for the effort of time and rapport building.

The entire Pharma system is rigged against the REP until more cases of an Attorney getting involved happens. You can't take advantage of people like that, create a hostile, work environment, not reward workers for time spent chasing matrix and expect anything good to happen. The companies know that the Reps are having to lie to make matrix and bonus and use it to fire Reps and slander good people.

You have to to take the Offense though because if you take the Defense an Atty will do you NO good after you are fire except if it was a protected class argument and even then it's not going to be over night.

 

Don't see the doc you be fired!!!!! Scramolla!!!
