Want to reduce pharma overhead and bring new medicines to patients cost efficient? Eliminate this role

QUOTE="anonymous, post: 6175361"]Very odd to see lunch ladies and deli slingers argue over who delivers lunch the best. Pharma sales is really just begging to see docs after bring a lunch, relax - you are all equally useless.[/QUOTE]

Which are you? A bad rep, an ex-rep, or a never got to be a rep?

Nobody cares about whether or not you bring value to patients or docs. After I got promoted, the rep who got my job did about 200k less per month in wholesale dollars than I did. That’s why this role exists, because it pays for itself when you have a monkey with borderline intelligence in the role.

FYI, lookup the Pharma companies out there trying to promote a drug through marketing with no sales force. Yes, they exist and when you see the sales numbers you’ll get it.

specialty sales will need reps for the foreseeable future. Maybe not as many reps, definitely not overlapping reps. Otezla could easily be promoted with 100 reps. At a cost of around $20 million.. that’s dirt cheap relative to the other marketing they would have to pay for.
