They are gearing up to hire reps for HTX-011.

Lol good luck to them. The only clinical data that's been made public for that drug combination up to this point is company/sponsor-provided. Absolutely nothing peer-reviewed and no studies run by a non-affiliated source. Makes you wonder. Yea, that's a red flag to me.

    1. GLASSDOOR REVIEW 2.7 out of 5 stars
      [IMG]
      "No leadership"
Current Employee - Sales in New York, NY

      Doesn't Recommend
      Negative Outlook
      Disapproves of CEO
I have been working at Pacira Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than 5 years)

      Pros

Pay is good for the little actual work I do.
My boss has no idea what he’s doing, rarely travels in the field and wouldn’t know what he’s doing if he did.
Work balance is great because most AMs & OAMs are only working 2-3 days max.

      Cons

      Zero career development programs.
      Zero leadership.
      Zero trust.
      Zero accountability.
CEO hates all sales people. Always has, always will.

      Advice to Management

Take a hard look at the capabilities of all leadership, what you will find are people way over there head. Most RDs too.
Promotions based on the buddy system: golfers, drinkers, skirt-chasers.
Purge these and get real managers with true experience.
Maybe Pacira should take a good look at itself. Advice to management hits at home.

    Pros

Benefits are decent and few great people.

The worst managed company in the industry. Constant change in management and zero transparency. People here do not last!!!

    Advice to Management

    STOP BULLYING PEOPLE

$150k base, IC comp additional $25+k, 5000 shares, and a legitimate management team. I won’t be the only one giving my notice next week.

I am glad I am not the only one leaving this train wreck called Pacira- Been unhappy for a long time, with my current boss- lack of returning my calls, promotes her favorites and is defiantly not the brain trust. It makes me sick how much she sucks up to her boss, always at the bar with him- optics not good with that situation.. The reps do all the work and everyone else surfs off our efforts- Medical Affairs and their clueless director LD, what a joke, wish I had her job- Can't even get the MA's to work one day in the field! Heard a funny story that one of the MA's could not make an evening appointment due to a conflict with her cooking class- No joke!!!!
This years National Sales Meeting was the beginning of the end for me, talk about a waste of time and money. Never saw so many pompous posers in one place at one time, people, it's pharma not medical device! who's idea was it for the camouflage, could you make this more pharma?! JD almost killed LN with her flower demo, that was the highlight of the meeting for me, too bad that did not make it on the Tube! Guess they gave the guy an RD position so he would not sue the company. Heard the guy is losing all of his reps due to Heron.
Hey, DS, I have not been working for the last 3 weeks, your right, sales reps don't work, the drug sells itself- let's see how that train of thought works for you when I take all of your business in 4 weeks!!!!

EF was in a department of one and went on COE trips. What a joke.

The DPS fiasco was DM’s baby. What an absolute disaster. Another case of Pacira paying a “partner or distributor” for work done by SASs/AMs. COO is just another landing spot for a guy who was in trouble as an AD, created a spot with DPS, then jumped that train wreck.

Lol “legitimate management team”. You should talk to more people who are already at Heron. It’s a mess and the incompetence level is very high. It’s funny how you pharma reps just don’t understand something — you think the grass is always greener on the other side. Newsflash: it’s not.

Additional, surely hope that’s not the comp package being given to the average rep joining Heron. If so, the company will burning through cash even more quickly than it is currently. Can only stay afloat for so long.

There are no more competent managers at Pa-silo, they intimidated DS and the rest of the pharma crowd.
The DK, old school management team was fired or let go because they actually challenged DS and the ivory tower- You can thank the managers of 2014 for the AM base increases- Before that group of RBD's, the starting SAS base was $90-$110! Now it starts at +$130-Once again thank you past managers- gr & vs will never have the juice to move salaries or stand up to DS, lap dogs- Thank you sir may I have another! The new group of RBD's will not fight for their teams. Simply put sheep following blind shepherds-

Apparently you have not reviewed Heron's Corp Strategy Plan located on their website, or your on the DS friends and family plan that gets paid to patriot. Bottom line they are going after the GPO's and IDN's with aggressive contact pricing, as opposed to increasing pricing and refusing to participate with GPO's and IDN's. Perhaps you should actually talk with some pharmacists who are counting the days down when they can remove Pacira from formulary-

Apparently you are drinking the Heron Koolaid. Perhaps a hedge fund investor in the stock. Stay off these industry forums, Gordon Gekko, we don't appreciate your kind here.

This is SO TRUE. I was there in the DK years and he moved mountains to get better comp for the sales team. Strong competent leaders either get pushed away or leave out of frustration. Faithful followers, who don't rock the DS boat and who drink the DS Kool Aid, stay and get promoted.

How’s Heron working out for all of you superstars that accepted offers? How many options was it again? Good luck! Looks like an amazing deal. Can’t remember, who was taking all that business?!
