ATTENTION: All AZ females , “Women in Leadership” is a distraction, completely for apperances. Your experience and merit DO NOT MATTER! Stop playing the AZ dog and pony show it will get you no where, save your energy. Another white, young, inexperienced male got a promotion over a highly qualified/experienced female. TERRIBLE LEADERSHIP DECISION!

SHUT IT! Pick the best person not the most diverse. We should just give participation trophies to everyone.

    Age discrimination is more prevalent.

Women are the elite class in this world, especially in the USA, where they get gifts and prized for getting married AND getting divorced.

If you are dumb enough to stay in a big company like this and think they have your back, you are stupid. Look after yourself by getting more education, and marketing yourself....because AZ will spit you out whenever they feel like it.

    Just a terrible organization.

    And who would that be?

Some of my best bosses have been women but also one of the worst ever. The only difference I have seen during my 25+ years at AZ is that when they try to force someone who is young and inexperienced into a leadership role for diversity goals, it usually ends up being a mistake and we the reps pay the price.

#7, I think the person wanted to know the loser male that got the position vs. greatest candidate of all time.

it definitely is! I have heard firsthand two male managers here say the following:

“I won’t hire a young female because when they get pregnant they become nothing but a worthless lazy distracted pain in the ass”

“There will be positions opening if anyone on the team is interested in applying, but I don’t think these are a good fit for anyone on this team since the territories are bigger and require overnights and all of you are moms with kids at home.”

Hey there SnowFlake! Guess what? The world is full of bias on every side and it is alive and well in AZ too. White males who prefer to work with and hire white males. Blacks who prefer to work with and hire other blacks. Gay females who prefer to work with and hire other Gays. Women who give preference to hiring more women. If you think it is bad here then you should have a look at other countries.

Being the mother of young children I look forward to overnights. Their father enjoys these evenings with the kids as well. Perhaps you are transposing your own feelings to others. Hmm me thinks you are the lazy distracted pain in the ass.

Are you sure your husband spends his nights with your children when you are away?
I know one who didn't. My counterpart's mother and father caught the pos in their city apartment in the act with one of his co-workers. I bet he was all smiles when she returned until this last trip.

KK In Oncology is a sexist bully. He belittles every woman he speaks to and I have not only experienced it personally but have seen him yell at other women who are sales reps and msls. He makes them feel small, irrelevant, and dumb. He has said that “back in the day” he didn’t have women bosses but then everything got politically correct so now he has to listen to their bad ideas. He is an argumentative person and fights with males employees - but he doesn’t insult the men and tell them they are dumb. He only does this with women. And he makes inappropriate comments about the legs of women he sees when he golfs. He is creepy. He makes the work environment very uncomfortable. He is an angry person. He is a BULLY. Oncology leadership knows it and they look the other way because they only care about results. Olivier knows it. Jane know it. Kevin knows it. Gaby knew it. Mike C knows it. Randy knows it. Katy knows it. KK side kick philippe knows it. Philippe is accessory after the fact because he supports KK’s behavior. Managment won’t do anything about it. They just say it’s is “KK being KK” because that’s easier and that KK been around for a long time. Unacceptable. Oncology leadership should be ashamed. With KK there Oncology is not a safe place for women unless you want to be demeaned, feel like your dumb, and that women don’t have a place. KK should not work around women. He is a BULLY. A chauvinist BULLY. A BULLY that doesn’t live the AZ values. If you meet him - stay away.

Now, now ladies, don’t get your thongs in a wad. I have done this job for 30+ years, and there have been good and bad females as well as men. If you know how to really use your “assets”, you can make a major impact in sales or management. It’s just nature. Want a promotion, start the “process” slow, and then take it to completion. Now, you have him by the short-hairs, and can always blackmail him if he doesn’t come through. Use him for what you want, he gets what he wants, and everybody wins. Record conversations. Write down in detail times and places. This all of course assumes you are not married, heh-heh.

Just a little perspective from a male that has seen it all. You can call me The Reality Man.

Ruud on the townhall said 'Iskra is a strong female leader'. Ever called someone as a 'strong male leader'?

This is Ruud's attempt at trying to convince people that he supports diversity so he picked out a female leader to compliment. The problem is that he felt compelled to point out that she is a female leader. If she was really that great then people should know her name and putting female in front of it would not be necessary. Imagine if he said, " xxx is a strong African American leader or zzz is a strong Gay leader? It is the same thing.

Yes, of course, that's exactly what it was. It couldn't have been because you are 'you', eh? Therefore, it MUST have been bias, discrimination, maybe misogynous, maybe it's even Trump's fault?

Haven't you been paying attention. Everything is Trump's fault. Just watch CNN. They don't even pretend to be a real news network any longer.

Assumptions are dangerous. I love Trump. I voted for him in both the primary and general elections. You shouldn’t be stereotyping like main stream media.
