SIT group can be added to that list as well! If we are the best trained salesforce, then why spend the money for these roles?

SIT on the spine side’s making large base salaries plus large quarterly bonuses. A total waste of money. Believe me these guys are hitting all their tee times on a regular basis. How can you tie a number to their quota?

“Extremity Specialist” is the biggest con going. They “touch base” with all the reps once a week, do 1-2 sales calls that they beg the SC to set up, and cover no cases. One of the biggest con jobs this company’s ever pulled.

This was something Stryker and S&N tried and bailed on. It didn't work for them, why would they try it??? DS keeps trying to put different people in the middle of their best relationships. The best sales relationships have now all left in the past 5 years. They lost the best thing they acquired when they overpaid for Synthes.....the people. They killed the culture and the best sales people now sell against them. I know I like taking any J&J business better than taking it from anyone else.

Ha! Love the above post because I 100% agree. I LOVE taking business away from JNJ at every turn. All of us ex-Synthes folks should hold a reunion....

DS Spine reps are leaving in droves, I can think of six who have gone to globus in the past six months and taken all or most of the business with them overnight. That’s what zero innovation, poor top leadership, and the bureaucracy of JNJ get you. Some good guys still there and I wish them all the best, but I am glad to be out of there.

This makes me sick! I'm a rep on the spine side and everyone knows SIT is expendable. They make no difference to our bottom line. We are losing in every direction we look and they continue to keep this team? After another dismal performance last year cuts have to be coming and SIT will get hit.

We're approaching SEVEN years since the acquisition and JNJ corporate leadership STILL doesn't understand the role of an effective salesperson in Ortho Med Device.

We need to buy globus ASAP. That robot is legit. Over night, they took $2 million in business from stryker at an account I have minimal business at. Another hospital in my region just bought a mazor too and I heard the surgeons all agreed to switch to Medtronic to pay for it. We are going to keep bleeding out in spine if we don’t get into the technology game. This Brainlab partnership is garbage.

jnj will never have the opportunity to buy globus, because globus is content beating the wheels off of jnj until the end of time.

JNJ would ruin Globus just like they ruined Synthes. All the good Globus reps have seen what happened with the DS merger and they would leave ASAP or as soon as their inevitable two year comp guarantee runs out post-acquisition. And all the Globus innovation would immediately come to a screeching halt once the JNJ bean counters got involved. Doesn’t solve the JNJ problem.
