Always remember employees don’t leave companies, they leave their manager.

Who left? At least tell us where they are/were located.

Most of the folks who left (Tom, John, Bill, and Bob, for example) have joined full time working for the Proud Boys.

I recently left elanco for an equal paying job. The main reason why I left is the culture at elanco. The lead team said that it was going to get better but it never did. In saying it will get better admits that it’s not good. For example, remember the engagement survey and the video with SL? She brought it up once and never spoke about it again. It never got better. Elanco has a bad culture and the upper management doesn’t care.

Agreed. The “lip service” is nice, but unless you were around for the Comfortis and Trifexis launches, you’re just not (and never will be) part of the club.

This is completely true. Two brands that are sinking Elanco. Why is anyone surprised that people are leaving? Another top rep left this week. Another rep who won trip last year. What does that make 8 or 9 of the top reps from 2017 who went on trip that have left Elanco?

The leadership here is the worst I ever seen. Did you read SM’s email this week? It looked like it was composed by a freaking first grader. He addressed two people by their last name?? On an email that went out to the entire company.

We are now an independent company and this man is a “Senior Director” and he addresses his leadership team by their last names? What are we on the playground? Grow up Peter Pan.

We need leaders to lead/to set examples to speak like leaders. Clearly that man lacks professionalism and has no class.

Yeah, because formality is a critical leadership quality. I bet you can get a role back on the human side.

Garbage post. You may need more hand holding and politically polished emails than the rest of is do, and if that how you measure leadership you probably are in the wrong place. If you have that much time to analyze an email and that is what you took away from it, you are probably in the wrong place. If you feel like we have to change our culture because we are a publicly traded company today, you are probably in the wrong place.

SM is the right leader for Elanco bc of who he isn’t as much as for who he is.

Haven’t even thought about Elanco for years... What a fall from grace.... Is there still the “are you with me” mantra from the executive end? So glad I was downsized after the Novartis acquisition... I saw this and the Lilly spin off coming a country mile away. I fell bad for anyone left. This will never be the organization it once was...

A lot of happy employees within Elanco. Yet just like every other organization, there will always be those who believe they'd be happier elsewhere.
