I know that most diagnostic/lab companies do car allowance. Does Myriad do an allowance or company car? Are other benefits good (insurance, 401K, etc). I am just starting to explore a few companies.

The car allowance is horrible, compared to other companies. They use an app called MOTUS to track your every move, then pay around 32 cents a mile, plus an additional $300ish. There is no gas card, let me repeat, there is no gas card like at other companies. The rest of the benefits are comparable to other companies that I have worked at. Overall, it is a great place to work, but if the car allowance is your major concern you probably will not be happy.

Management get's to bone their direct reports on business trips while HR looks the other way. Most companies have done away with that little benefit.

Looking at Women's Health Care role in MD. Really would appreciate any honest feedback on compensation before I pursue any further. Heard compensation is base of around 100 and 140 ish at plan with pretty good health insurance. Thank You

At plans the trick, check how long the territory has been vacant and true potential. At plan 1st year might be 32 bonus. Surprised if base is $100. Good Luck!

Car Allowance is based on a tracking ap and some formula based on zip and territory. San Jose gets more than St Lewis Missouri for example. Might break even...Example $350 car allowance and .25 a mile variable on territory.
Insurance, 401 K etc... same as other small/mid size companies.

Base is closer to 80K, you would be lucky to make 95k and you will lose money on your car....run fast

ive been researching various genetic companies. Although Myriad is the leader, the benefits don’t seem as competitive. Can anyone weigh in? Thx.

okay, so here is the truth of it all!
This is not Pharma and if you have 20-plus years as a pharmaceutical rep the salary will not be what you are currently making for salary. However this is a real sales job so the salary is decent but the bonuses are awesome. If you're in a territory that doesn't have a lot of business you will need to work your butt off to get it established. Once you get it running it will be a lot easier for you. Great company, great science, great people to work for. You will make way more money than you've ever made in Pharma if you just do your job and service your accounts. I highly recommend over Pharma.
As far as benefits go it's pretty competitive with everybody else out there. As far as a company car goes we don't have one. I for one like this. It pays for my car payment, insurance, gas and then I have some extra left over. I have a large territory so I get a pretty hefty check for mileage. 401K is competitive and we have stock options. Hope this helps give you a little bit of insight into the company.

What do you sell in neuro? Is 140k average total package for base/bonus in neuro as stated in other divisions?

    Psychotropic Gene test
Depends on territory. If you are in a low revenue territory I would say you might do $115K total package. 2nd year should be $115 to 140K.
If you inherit a high revenue territory you could do $150K easy 1st yr with a possible 200K.
Territories are not created equal and evry month you need new business. Quotas are based on prior quarter with an added percentage increase. No residual business. Great small company and awesome people to work with. Benefits are equal to most companies. Car allowance and gas mileage vs. company car. A large majority of reps make over $200K a year
I hope that helps from an honest employee who enjoys his job!

Thank You. So sounds like the good reps can make 200k. How much of that is base salary? Is the bonus paid quarterly? Also are the psychs more open to the product say vs a pharma product?

Stay away from Myriad Neuroscience. Unless you don't have a problem at all committing medicare fraud. Because that is absolutely the ONLY way you can keep your head above water.

Bottom line selling Genesight. You either play the game and commit medicare fraud or you don't grow business. You have to make the decision if you are ok with it or not.

Obviously you’re not familiar with the genesight promise. Legit means to off set any cost issues.

Unfortunately, its a much lower base than an experienced Neuro Pharma Rep would make and you would probably be taking a big salary cut to come here but you can easily make it up in bonuses.
    Bonuses are paid quarterly.
You can make anywhere from $15K to $40K and above (high revenue territory) a quarter if you make your quota.
Yes, Psychs are open to it. You get more time and do a lot on inservices with the staff and its just a different kind of sell. You are more of a consultant and it definately beats Pharma!
