I love titration. Yeah it’s not a problem.

This sounds like was written about a soon to be prison resident. It is inappropriate to trivialize getting people addicted on opioids, I mean titrating up the dose as high as possible. Using sex and entertainment to do so makes this even more vulgar.

These two studs in the video used their sex appeal to get Rx while the other reps used other means such as lap dances. Putting patients lives at risk to achieve profits is even below the industry known as prostitution. This company needs to leave the industry and find a new one. Porn would make a lot more sense and I’d look forward to seeing some of this talent at work.

Don’t waste your time, these trolls don’t work here and aren’t even in Pharma. Subsys was nearly non existent in opioid TRx.

Which family member of yours was a junkie? You? The Wife? Your Goofy kid?

    First we are not friends.

Second, regarding making fun of killing patients for profit, it's the theme of the entire video. Having no problem with titration? Well, my "friend" at least 900 people did. According to a 2018 analysis of FDA , Subsys AE data, they are now dead. That's a very conservative estimate based upon self-reported data. Everyone who has analyzed the report agrees the actual deaths are likely much higher.

Your grammar school defense "They did it too!" is irrelevant. "Their" day of reckoning may come. Insys's is here and the entire country is horrified by what they are discovering from the trial testimony.

"Drinking the government's Kool Aid?" Hardly. The FDA is either unwilling or unable, possibly both, to track violations and enforce their own regulations. Investigative journalists and whistleblowers uncovered this mess.
The Feds aren't too keen to admit that they had no pre-authorization requirement in place for Subsys. That's right! Even though Insys had an entire "secret" off site, department to fraudulently obtain pre-authorization from third party payors, it wasn't even necessary for government insured patients. Do you think this might be why veterans were specifically targeted, or did you "miss that part" too?

There's a saying "The worst lies are the ones you tell yourself" This entire message board supports that fact.

Well there you have it! The truth about how these people, who casually peddled death in a sub-lingual spray, rationalized their obscene behavior. "They were worthless addicts, junkies, users, before we ever found them"

It's a fact that most Subsys patients had tried other, less potent opioids first. It was an FDA requirement that patients be "opioid" tolerant prior to taking Subsys. In the few known cases where this requirement was ignored, patients OD'd quickly and fatally.

As with any complex problem, there are many facets. Addiction has largely been treated like a crime, not an illness. We are only now just beginning to understand how fentanyl creates new brain receptors that must be continually occupied to prevent withdrawal. It effectively rewires the brain to demand ever increasing amounts of drug, creating a downward spiral that ends badly.

Most opioid addicts start with a legitimate prescription for pain. By the time they realize they are "hooked" they face an uncertain future, full of blame, judgement, guilt and various "rehab" options that are both expensive and often ineffective.

We must change our attitude and approach to the treatment of addiction. Start with the humility to admit it can happen to anyone, "Except for the grace of God, go I" Then, educate yourself and be part of the solution.

Oh, I get it my friend, it’s the patient’s fault if they develop an addiction when prescribed Subsys off label. Titration is not a problem if you’re defrauding the government and killing innocent civilians. The two studs in the video will soon be tossing salads in the big house and will be in high demand with their good looks.

while it’s definiately fair to say the video is perhaps insensitive and distasteful it seems pretty boilerplate rah rah stuff to me - we’re the best, beat the competition blah blah. The use of “titration” is probably not good but Jesus was there any word used more often by leadership and managers at Insys ? “If you can’t get a new patient then get someone titrated” right. The article makes it seem like this was played at lunches to convince doctors to write!? Does it even mention that Alec ran the video submission competition every sales meeting? This was his baby. These clowns were just the ones who decided to go all out. As if there is a correlation between kapoor Alec and babich’s conspiracy to pay doctors to write and reps making a video for a sales meeting. Unprofessional to the hilt on all fronts but pharmaceutical companies are allowed to have sales meeting to rally the sales force.

So, Kapoor’s legal team has hired a blogger as well to spin on CP? Of course, Kapoor knew nothing of these videos! It was Alec all the way.

And that will be the theme of this trial Kapoir’s word vs Alec’s word.

Not guilty! And Babich will be keeping his millions. Good for him, right place, right time.

Congratulations! You get the award for most pathetic rationalization of Insys.

Nothing wrong with a video celebrating death? You don't like that word much do you? Does it frighten you? You want to separate what you did every day: persuade MD's to write illegal, often fatal, Subsys prescriptions for "kickbacks", from the executives corporate policy decisions. In denial, you dance and laugh at the excruciating pain you caused and think there will be no consequences.

I have a thought. Next holiday, say Easter, come over to my house. My daughters, my grandchildren and my husband will be there. My son will not. Where once there was only children's laughter and too much candy, there are now two pairs of sad eyes; belonging to his children, and an almost palpable ache in our collective hearts. His dog, who spent countless nights on the floor trying to wake my son from his Subsys induced unconsciousness, cries too. It's a soul searing, mournful howl. I try to hug him but he just crawls into a corner to grieve..Some nights I join him.

So this is what your "sales video" is really about. These are the real-world consequences of your actions. I imagine at least some of you will eventually find the pretense and lies too much to carry. You'll have to look in the mirror and face what you did. When that day comes, and it will. I hope you are wiser and stronger than you are now.

How was this video celebrating death? I honestly don’t see that sort of content here. I’m sorry for your loss, but this video had nothing to do with celebrating death. What happened to your loved one is very sad, and it sounds like you should pursue legal action against the prescribing physician.

One frustrating limitation of this board is one never really knows with whom you are communicating.

I've no idea if you are simply ignorant regarding the pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamics of rapid release fentanyl, or rather being deliberately disingenuous in a transparent attempt to shift blame. If your offer of condolence is "real" or just a really expedient method of avoiding guilt.

Doesn't matter. If you see nothing amiss in that video you have your reasons. They are not going to help you establish a moral compass, but you've managed this far without one...……..
