I agree! I was let go in this last round...but damn move on already. You got a paid vacation, won’t have to sell 100 drugs, AND skipped out on a bullshit training at NSM. We chose to be in a very volatile industry, and this is the reality. Stop being a cry baby and go network.

Yes please keep posting sob stories of being laid off on LinkedIn and sharing every inspirational quote posted. This will get you far with recruiters.

Awh, you seem so angry! Or you could be a normal, hirable person and just apply for jobs? Networking generally involves using your connections for a referral, which helps your chances of getting a job.

    Move on.

I am not the original poster, this is my first in THIS thread and I totally agree about moving on because I have truly BUT, it's hard not being bitter when you get laid off and Arbor doesn't do as promised. Our severance was messed with, we didn't get car payments as promised and we got paid $0 for miles. I get that they may pay at a later date but talk about not following through. My severance was cut by $6200 for taxes and other things. Email said: you were taxed 22% for federal tax, plus state tax, FICA, SUTA (unemployment tax) local city tax, county and other taxes we are required to pay by law- for me totaling $6200, I know we have to pay uncle sam but- it felt like the hits just kept coming. My family is suffering because of this.
Although, I am pissed about the situation and happy to get away from this piece of shit company. I am sure they offered us the stock options because they are certain they are never going public. I'd be surprised if they don't fold.

You need to start a blog to help with your emotions. Plenty of other companies hire ex-arbor employees. Stop acting like this industry is so impossibly hard. We sell to people who already want to buy. Stop having a pity party and go apply!

You are right, we did not get car payments as promised! I wish I could have recorded that conversation on January 23rd. They did not deliver what they said they would with regard to the car allowance. Then, they come back and say "Motus says...". Who gives a $#!+ what Motus says? Arbor you should have kept your word to your employees! You already threw us out on the street and then you lied to us about the money.

I didn’t get let go but am still appalled at the treatment of people. Just do the right thing!!!! Arbor refuses to admit when they make mistakes and never rights their wrongs.

That’s because doing things right costs money and they are running out quick.

You are absolutely right. They never admit any wrong doing. I am surprised they are not in fear of retaliation.

Good to see some of the worst managers keeping their jobs.

Lies is an understatement. Have you heard of Auschwitz and how they told the jews they were going to take showers only to be put in a gas chamber? Arbor's leaders have the makings of that sort of mentality. They had people book flights to a meeting knowing full well they were going to leave them without a job and insurance only a few weeks later. They are evil people - just evil.

I think you give too much credit to the people at Arbor. I don't think they have the competence to do it on purpose. They are a knee-jerk reaction company focused on the short term. When they realized how bad 2018 was going to look, Ed needed to do something to convince the board he was on top of it. So what does he do, make cuts for a short term fix. Unfortunately, you can't keep cutting yourself to growth. He also relinquishes day to day control, congrats Thom, so that Ed has someone to blame, congrats Thom, and Ed is out of the hot seat. I will give credit to Ed there, well played.

I wonder how IST/NSM is going today. Do you think Dr.Troy is going to come roleplay?

I have never seen a company that treats their people so badly as Arbor.

This company is sinking fast. Months and months with no sales jobs posted, loss of company vehicles, layoffs, major change in bonus structure...the list goes on.

And still we go to the meeting and kiss ass like never before and don’t say shit. When did we lose our spines?
    I hate myself sometimes!
