What a bunch of crap! Maybe, just MAYBE, you got lucky with a local company, but very highly unlikely! A.P.R.I.A. = Awfull + Parasitic + Retarded + Ignorant + Assholes
Try a company owned By Americans that care about Americans.
    Can you say planted story.

I don’t know what to say to such an ignorance statement and attitude. And my dear Sir, it sounds like you are the Asshole. They are still there helping. I don’t see you or your company helping the people that are here. If this is a plant as you claim, then bring some equipment to the Gloversville Shelter and lend a hand. You will then see with your own eyes. Maybe caring and working is too much for you and it is easier for you to sit back and think that you are too good and everyone else is beneath you. All I can further say is thank you Apria.

Maybe this is the reason that you’re a failure. You can not tell the difference between a shelter and Insurance company. What a idiot that you must be.

You kind sir are the idiot if you think we are buying your bullshit. Apria has trouble providing any level of service on a sunny day. Maybe like a prior poster stated, you got lucky but most likely you're just another Apria plant.

    HILARIOUS!!!
I know for a fact in our region of Northeast Apria told patients they would "get to them by Tuesday..." when they were asking for supplemental backups the Thursday before the storm hit - the other part of this joke is that we are supposed to believe some random public official from NY was just trolling the Cafepharma message boards, on the O2 reps side, and decided to read a while and respond? Is this what Anthony Weiner is doing with his spare time these days?
Put your knee pads back on and get back to work on Payson's package

You both suck - this is like watching fans at a Division 3 college football game yell at eachother - humorous and sad at the same time

I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU GOT YOUR INFORMATION, BUT YOU ARE INCORRECT. I WONT ARGUE WITH THE FACT THAT APRIA'S SERVICE SUCKS, BUT THE REST JUST IS NOT TRUE.

The above post had responses to the poster's concerns, but I quoted insted of replying and copy and pasting, so it made it look like it was a response to somebody else, and my responses to that person's was kinda jumbled in. Hope that makes sense! LOL

Maybe Rotech and Lincare can get together and put a serious hurt on Apria. You have to love the statement since all three are trying to jump into bed with any big insuror that wil hold still. Yeah, we can bid our concentrators at 58.00/month instead of the whopping 68 that Apria is fleecing Humana for. What a joke it all is. Hell, while we're doin it why don't we see if we can bid down that 18.00 per month portable rental charge as well. Lord knows we can just deliver the crap out of tanks for maybe 14.00 per month after all gas is down to 3.50 per gallon! End game? Struggling whores that are responsible for devastating a viable market in the name of make a quick buck and if the crap hits the fan, get the hell out. Where does that leave everyone else including the patients that depend on our services?

Historically Apria has led the way in the cut rate pricing game. At least since their existance began 16 years ago. They have been cut throaghting pricing for about 15 years now and get worse each year. Most other companes, including Rotech, have been forced to match the pricing or lose all of the insurers billing. As HMO's have grown over the past 15 years, so has Apria's aggressive cut throath pricing. They have done this with the VA, Aetna, Humana, UHC and many more. They have always went for the QUANTITY to make up for the pricing and thereby forcing other companies to match. This craziniess has just as much repsonsibility, if not more, than medicare cuts, to the inability of companies to be abe to afford enough staff to properly service their patients. Doubt Apria would anyway, but the ones that want to are finding it much harder, economically.

All DME have issues. They key is the staff at each location. Apria In the OH valley area the Area Sales Manager is a asshole! Claims he was ex military, but really just a con artist ass kisser. The branch manager is a joke and doesn't hold anyone accountable for their failure because he's afraid they'll notice he's not doing his job. While you can potentially make decent money as a rep, you will be so busy cleaning up service failures that you won't realize if its Monday or Friday. It's on the reps to own the business and handle sales, set ups, customer service & anything else the referral sources require in order to get the business. It's also about relationships. If the physician and his staff like you, they may give you some business, but if our branch messes up, you'll have to get on your knees to regain the business. It's not easy nor for the lazy person. The benefits suck ass! Deductible has gone from $200 a year to $4000 for a family. It's so awful considering we work in healthcare. No company car only 42 cents for mileage. And $500 a quarter for marketing supplies and lunches. Use this company as a stepping stone to better unless you're in a really good market with an awesome team to support your efforts. The IN area has it together, as does North Carolina, Florida, GA, NY. KY sucks as does IL, OH, NJ, MI.

    Re: Apria

Not only is he still around, he recently was promoted. Ron Bond was my Area Sales Manager and I was disappointed that he is now the leader for a market that is not in my territory. Great guy, I learned a TON. And I still use Ron for advice and mentoring.

Yes, Ron is a great leader to work for and learn from. He’s mentored many and they’ve succeeded!
