Say that after shareholders take their vote, politicians (majority of which in the House are democrats) agree on the deal, and Washington’s antitrust authorities give the green light.

I doubt BMS can afford a bidding war.
Expect the timeline to be consolidated

Most feared activist investor in America, Jeffrey Smith from Starboard Value has allegedly zeroed in on BMS. Is he planning to derail the $74B Celgene buyout?

Celgene remains in a strong position to thrive without a deal due to a strong pipeline. Celgene doesn’t need BMS. With the house currently occupied by majority of Democrats, they’re going to scrutinize if the merger would result in higher drug prices.

If (big IF) this deal merger goes through, Celgene sold itself cheap. BMY is acquiring CELG for it’s 4 drugs, ozanimod est. $5bil/ yr, bb2121upwards of $2bil/yr, fedratinib($2bil/ year) and Liso-cel upwards of $2bil/ yr.

Jeff Smith got a look at the clueless BMS management and probably shit their pants regarding their investment. Hoping to sell BMS to show lil dick Giovanni and his lil dick Ass-kissing management the door.

There was a tweet supposedly linked to Dealreporter about Sanofi (SNY -1.6%) mulling a run at BMY, but it is not credible.
