Then add the balance of the additional 9,000 wound care Reps and the zillion glorified bandaids they offer and it spells SCAM....avoid this market.
Any updates on the WC sales force? You guys happy, fat and well paid? Products doing well? Looking at a position near me, and advice would be welcomed. Many years of device/ortho and pharma, but not WC.
Coloplast is known as an innovative company but unfortunately the skin and wound care division hasn’t been to innovative recently. I hear there is some things in the pipeline though. There are about 50 reps and it is a down year but years in the past have been good for pay. I’m curious to see how they deal with medline as they seem to be taking over the distribution for many large hospitals and then forcing hospitals to switch to medline wound and skin care so they meet their minimum spend with the contract they sign. Even though the clinicians don’t like their products and they are known to be shady, supply chain can’t disregard the numbers they see on paper and it’s becoming a problem since these products are viewed as commodities to supply chain.
Who has said that and who would they sell to? at first thought, the only company that would take on something like that would be a distributor like cardinal or O+M as medline already has a full skin and wound care line.
The competition is definitely tanking! Look at Convatec, their sales, and management teams are running for the hills. Hilarious but good for us!
