Completely understand! I have 2 months until retirement. I loved my long tenure here but for the last 6 years, I have been counting days! Who in the world let these no-nothing managers into one of the most reputable companies in the country. Now I wouldn’t bet $10 on them bringing one good idea to the table. I have a RMBD that acts like Sheriff Andy Taylor of Mayberry and everybody is his friend. Just stand and grin at the physicians and tell them how much you appreciate their business. That and a buck will get you a cup of coffee at McDonald’s! You young folks looking for guidance and some good mentoring in sales should stay far away from the new LCA! Don’t think that this time will look good on a resume because most companies in this industry will not touch former Labcorp employees! Good luck. The beach and retirement is calling!

You are right. I work in a lab with a supervisor who does not know her ass from a hole in the ground and is too prideful to ask for help. Not all her fault, though. She had been micromanaged and is now left to help run the joint. There was a power struggle and the doctor with the experience was kicked to the curb for her younger, cheaper protege. Too bad the protege stayed. Hope its temporary. This company is a trip without a ticket, It will be closing down soon.

The ongoing lack of leadership absolutely amazes me! Even the local talent doesn’t have a clue. They walk around with this goofy grin and think that the customers will move or stay because it’s the great Labcorp. Then they don’t understand that relationships mean nothing without a minuscule of corporate integrity. Pathetic!
