If I give my 2 weeks notice, and the last day of my employment falls on the expected 2018 bonus payout day, (which is also the last day of the pay period) is there any way they could withhold the bonus payment? Thanks.

Could it? Yes, I have seen it happen a few times over the years.

There is no law requiring the payment of bonuses or providing any rules regarding how bonuses are paid. Whether you still qualify for a bonus entirely depends on the arrangement with your employer. You should discuss this with your company’s HR department.

You can read more about the laws concerning employee rights at Working: Now and Then.com.
