Extremely weak European owners hire CEO with severe mental health challenges. Explosive temper and keeps firing managers and reps. Completely dysfunctional deadenders here. Many employees are supposedly former drug addicts but nearly all are continuing closet addicts. The dregs of the pharma industry come here when there are no other options. Glad I saw the light and minimized my losses by jumping off this sinking ship. I don't even put my tenure on my resume as it can only hurt your marketability. No R&D. Always promises of co-promote options that never come to fruition. Bullshit promises of taking sales leaders on a European awards trip... never happened. Try to incentivise contract reps with the carrot of being made a direct hire... which leads to being jerked around without the meager protections by the contract HR department. Don't get suckered in to this cesspool of drug addicts and losers.
Original poster is 100% spot on accurate. Don't even think about working for Orexo and their churn and burn expansion/contraction revolving door of druggies and losers at every level of this dope den. You can tell when Bob is lying whenever his lips move.
No idea about veracity of drug use, but everything else OP states is accurate. CEO is an incompetent boob- an an asshole as well. His head of sales and managed care is not much better. I just left at the end of '18 and happier than I've been in years at Orexo. Life's too short to put up with that level of bullshit.
Considering its a small company, giving details that out yourself in this post may not be the most prudent decision....
Don't confuse the CEO with Bob. They weren't stupid enough to hire Bob as the CEO. Over five years in and still struggling.
