You must be HR or a recruiter. Have you not read the last 10 comments concerning this contract? They are ALL BAD!

When unsuspecting good Professional Reps that had budding careers at their last company take a job they are putting their trust, integrity and commitment into the hiring companies hands. When that Company after the hiring process surprises the Reps w/ a totally new and unrealistic job expectations That's called "Fraud" and when your managers starts firing reps for asking for, NO, demanding unrealistic unethical sales matrix that might boarder line on Libel.

The MRK reps were good people and probably thought this might be a nice bridge to another company and at the same time give them time to look for another manufactuing job. Instead, from what we are reading here the job turned into a nightmare of weekly surprises. Now they have this blemish on their resume. Maybe they left as soon as they realized the impossible task at hand, maybe they couldn't because of bills.

But bottom line, Companies have a moral bottom line of not presenting a smoke and mirror opportunity just so they can tell the Host Client that they hired all the Top Notch MRK reps then to immediately throw them under the bus.

There, I never used your company name as this goes for all contract companies or companies in general. Pharma doing what pharm does.... and if you don't believe this post...just start reading other companies post on CP.

    What is everyone's prediction on....

    (1) what percent % of current reps will choose to come back for season 2?

    (2) when will season 2 start up again?

Have heard the prediction from other reps that 30 % or so of reps will choose to NOT return.....

Will there be a season 2?

My manager said he was not told yet that we are coming back. No one is saying anything so I guess we leave this job not knowing if we have a return date or if we are out of a job.

    That is a good point.

Heard that the "negotiations" between Genentech and Ashfield are still taking place.

If ANYONE has any good, reliable gossip or facts about this contract or about the future of the contract, please post them here for everyone's benefit.

April 26 end date. Start back early to mid September. You have option to COBRA your benefits but Ashfield won’t cover insurance during hiatus. Supposedly we will get some sort of bonus in April or May. You could use that to pay your COBRA costs!

It would be a mistake to drag this out past April. As flu tapers off,so will interest & access. Of course, as with any contract, it can all change. Ashfield & Genentech will do whatever is best for them.

Everything u said is spot on. Don't forget this-the oseltamivir bucket they are using is also for peds under 12 and prophylaxis. Not sure how they can compare us against off label usage??
I have brought it to my DM attention and was blown off (as is the case every time anyone in our district voices a legitimate issue).

This is soooo true. We are being compared against hospital ER & Pediatrics market share.

It’s been so quiet on this thread. Everything ends April 26th. No real direction on what happens next. Guess we are just done & maybe we get a call back for next season? We get no information from Ashfield on anything other than random fleet car policies we need to sign off on. How about a chat with HR about closeout, insurance, rehire status? Will Ashfield even be the vendor for next season?

Good question. I don't think so for this reason.
The metric of 6% wasn't reached.
That can be attributed to the directions of Genentech's via Rod & John.
We were directed to go after PC & IC with Urgent Cares as an afterthought and no ER in hospitals and no CVS.
Bad call to leave the ERs out of the picture and CVS out of the mix - the ROI was nowhere near projections.
A better strategy would be hospital / urgent care specialty reps & primary reps in certain areas and lose the ISRs.
Whether Genentech / Roche will spend the $$$ again and go with Ashfield is doubtful.

I am always suspicious when the host company/cso goes silent...usually means a mandatory operations call is looming...in this case, they’ve already let us know when they are letting us go.

I have done multiple CSO outside of Ashfield and the commission plan was structured to hit the target bonus.
