The deal was inked yesterday but will not be announced until 2020. CC is gone and their activities will be transitioning to Syneos contract team in 2020. Nothing was disclosed if reps can interview with Syneos so no information there.
This is not surprising, and makes perfect sense. But, anyone could have written this. Only a very, very small number of people would be in the know for something of this magnitude. Doubtful word would get out this early.
Seems plausible, but how is the transition achieved without major disruption to sales. We know Merck doesn't care about the reps , but they do like revenue.
I would think given the short time remaining to promote Januvia the transition would be more costly than a layoff ? More likely is increased quotas , missed sales goals, low bonus , harassing DM's , PIP's and voluntary departures for greener pastures .
