Gennett was a complete degenerate. Gloryholes himself to his promotions . Blood sport of fuxking with consultants was his hobby. Truly the most despised and hated person at Synthes in his day. Not missed in the least.
Synthes was a sick and perverse place in the 90's. Hansjorg was all in on the grabs mentality. Fat Fuck Phil Coburn performed and orchestrated a mutiny on his hiring manager after coming to Synthes from pharma where he sold catheters . Or the douchbag in marketing that was caught doing and talking to underage girls online on his home office computer was also a story. And then there was Gennett. They broke the mold with this guy. His exploits would make a great Netfix series. Only at Synthes could a guy like this survive.. Hansjorg made out like a bandit in finding a company to pay 10 billion . That was coup. Will never forget his Marriott experience as long as I live.
I will never forget the Buckwheat caption picture of the one lone African-American consultant being referenced at a meeting . Or after the company doing mandatory harrassment training at a meeting after tons of sexual harassment charges having Gennett come to the podium and say "Hows it hanging" and laughing . Only at Synthes could you get away with this . Hansjorg was banging anything he could get his hands on and he would mandate to DM's who their attractive female consultants were and want them sitting next to him at company dinners. Yes those were the days. Another favorite was Hansjorg mandating that he wouldn't authorized and reimbursement on expenses if it involved a Marriott property. This all came about at a breakfast at Sawgrass a Marriott property. He had asked for a banana to slice up so he could put it on his cereal . Some poor Mexican turned him down and he was pissed . He canceled all upcoming A0 courses for next two years and sent an email to the company that if you were staying at a Marriott you would be doing it on your own dime and if he found out employees were staying there it would be grave consequences. True story. And good ole Stoney in home office having a online relationship with a 15 year old girl and sending pictures with his company computer. The girls mother found some emails and saw that he worked for Synthes as luck would have it she was an OR nurse and knew Synthes. He was fired but that was the sort of creepy shit that went on at Synthes in the 90's. The Sims units that were mandated to consultants as a strategy to load up hospitals with inventory was epic. Or the consultant who was taking inventory and staching it in the ceiling of Central Supply when nobody was around in the middle of the night . A great way to make quota !! The Orlando situation was always hilarious as Gennett and others literally destroyed a consultants life just for fun. Yea those were the good ole days.
Didn't HJW try to "spin" the banana story into he wanted the leftovers to go to a nearby homeless shelter and was told they wouldn't do that. Maybe it was a different event.
That had to be a different event . Hanjorg giving food to a shelter would be a hot. When he donated money it usally was something he would get in return. He was pissed at Sawgrass meeting as he was a child when it came to him not getting what he wanted. Synthes was a sexual harassment playground in the 90's. When you went to Paoli for training or a meeting and a snowstorm was coming the employees cleared out and left you stranded. You would arrive at airport and there would be no transportation to get you to hotel or home office. It was a despicable place to work for sure.
