The high cost of KH

What skeletons does KH know about? There can be no other reason to keep him. KH is too costly for BV.

Consider just a few KH highlights:
    - Turnover is beyond the already high Biowaste norm under his dictatorship.
    - Sales training told us Exogen territory sales goes down 20% each time a rep leaves.
    - The high costs to hire and train new reps. Don't forget travel, lodging and time out of territory for rep......and manager.
    - Low sales numbers by his hires. Has he NEVER NOT been dead last in the country?
    - The negativity he brings to whatever he's engaged in (except dinner). Last sales class he tore into a rep he never knew. Does he not have any emotional intelligence to see how hurtful he is to others?
    - KH = Management by intimidation. His motto is "How much can I squeeze out of a human being before I discard them too cover my a$$?"

the turnover is unreal. just heard of three more reps leaving his region.

HR came into our sales meeting to announce KH taking over our region. Lots of vocal complaints. HR said they were aware of complaints. Nothing about complaints was done of course.

I think HR keeps KH because it ensures they have a job with exit interviews and hiring. I think there is merit to KH having something on someone. Maybe emails about how tp commit fraud to make profit. KH made comments about marketing the spread at Gelsyn launch tp a group of people.

KH is the least of BioV concerns. Sales in the crapper, horrendous company culture, reps leaving left and right, DOS looking over their shoulder. Never thought it could get worse than the JA era. Boy was I wrong.

37% drop in sales when there’s a vacancy

Company talks about retention and reducing turnover but the compensation plan and culture attract inexperienced college grads who leave in after a couple years.

    Culture is not positive.

Nothing will change. HR and executive leadership turn a blind eye to the madness. Anyone who has been here for a while knows KH ran off reps as a dos in both regions he ran. He has now done the same with the central area dos team. Look around at his dos team, they are all new in the last 3 yrs because he either fires them or they leave because they are fed up with his leadership style (lack of). Btw, his team will continue to leave in due time. This is not to mention the 50+ reps that have turned over in the central area under his watch. Oh yeah you nailed it, worst numbers of any AVP for three years running. What does he do, nothing. If it doesn’t benefit him than he doesn’t care. He will say and act as he does until someone does something. Oh yeah, they won’t so don’t expect anything.

He has ACLU on speed dial. Seriously.

BV tried to get rid of before. Obviously they failed.

If KH did not have the evidence to turn this company to CMS for fraud and other things, he be gone!

No one cares. All people up top care about is going public or selling.

I like how he can’t handle a teleconference and has to send pre-recorded messages to teams. He offers zero business strategy and has no ability to think on his feet to lend a helping hand if questions arise.

You mean you don’t like the 10 minutes a month you get to hear his voice where he shares challenges we all know about? His answers to the challenges are “your dos will discuss this with you”. Lol. What value does he actually provide? Actually KH please keep sending me the voicemails, I simply delete and that saves me another month of not hearing anything from you. I have deleted the last 2 so actually I thank you, I’ve gone 60 days w/o hearing from you.

My territory was having difficulties and I asked him what he thought I should do to improve it. He responded by asking me what I thought I should do. I told him and asked if he had any insight or suggestions from his high level view of things. He just said he had faith I would figure it out.

His favorite answer is to ping it back to you and ask what your plan is (as if you hadn’t already thought about and requested help). He will tear it down for a few minutes and then say execute your plan. No advice or insight just puts ownership back on you. He hangs up from you and then calls your manager and says it’s time for a PIP and to add you to the risk list. There’s his help. Aren’t you glad you asked for his help?

KH is almost as clueless as DV. But they operate in the same manner--leadership by absence. Figure it out or else. BV has become a very sad, sad place to be.

I hope this is far from true. JN is the greatest addition to Bioventus in years. He can’t anticipate every challenge we face before it happens but he is the only leader that has cared and listened to the sales force since AD. PS has the same mentality which is why people follow him. I personally love the comp plan and know many people that think the same. I sell more I make more (and have). I hope I never see a % to plan comp plan ever again.

Give it more time. You'll see his true colors. If he sticks around.

Most people would disagree with you. JN is shi++1ng all over the place. Check out the high turnover. Ask why KH is still around under such a great leader?

You are correct. Whoever says JN has been great for BV is clueless. He came here and stayed this long without a real desire to do so but more as a favor to TB.

JN, DV, TB have never taken the time to understand this business or what makes it tick. They came here for a quick oppty to make huge $ and it backfired bc of a Medicare investigation.

If you understand business and effective leadership you understand those 3 do not exemplify that. Not does KH. Only PS has a chance and he’s fighting a huge uphill battle.
