Is this going to be the new norm at Depuy? It seems like everything is going on back order and it’s been going on for a while now. Management likes to talk about Zimmer Biomet backorders but we can’t do a case without something being on backorder.
It used to just be around the end of the year, but now it's on-going. I love going into total hip cases without 2 or 3 cup sizes. Telling the doc to overream the acetabulum because I don't have the size he needs should go over well.
Don’t worry... Operation / sourcing leadership is going to sort this out with more cost cutting measures to save a couple of $$. Maybe we can fire some more folks / divest more sites to make us more “lean”. Then we can squeeze the rest of our operations and suppliers for a few % of cost/inventory at the expense of our sale organization followed with us all chanting the credo. That should make up for any backorders. Feel better now? Someone needs to answer to the lost opportunity cost.
Oh please this is coming from the reps learn to sell all the shit in your basement and hit your quota so we can all get a full bonus this year. It ain’t that hard. Go sell and quit staying home and working out at the gym.
