I'm considering a job at Ironwood but I've heard very mixed reviews on the culture and management. There have been a lot of layoffs over the past year, and I've heard references to a "new" Ironwood, What does this mean?

If you’re considering a job here, then you should be able to google what new ironwood means. That information is readily available. As far as culture and management I’d say it’s pretty decent. I think you’re going to get a lot of negative feedback from people only because we have been through so many layoffs in the last year, it’s been rough. However, they treat us well and pay us well. as far as stability and future of the company that’s a GIANT question mark. I think most of us are taking it day by day to see how it plays out and see how long we can last here. If you have another job offer from a company that is stable and not as big of a risk, I’d say go there because Ironwood isnt a safe bet. If you don’t have any other offers I think ironwood is an okay option for the time being given how bad our industry is right now and how difficult the job market is

Horrible. Well, to be fair.....it was a great place. At the moment, it is very depressing. New leadership and new management philosophy is very different than when Peter H was here.

It is not simply a financial issue. It is deeper than that. The culture hasn’t changed that much ....yet. However it is a matter of time. Great people have left and many are already on the way out. I wouldn’t say cut throat, but it is definitely heading toward that direction.

The dysfunctional deck chairs were moved around at the top but the iceberg is looming. Let that “sink” in.

Employee Stock is worthless. Those participating in ESPP are helping fund this disaster and will finish underwater in their investment.

The new guy needs to be given a chance. He inherited a mess. The folks that need to leave are TM and his cronies (MP, JG) who quite frankly are a bunch of incompetent asses.

Stock has fallen off a cliff since he took over. Our options are all worthless. Thought this new profitable company was supposed to create value for shareholders.

Have you looked at Ironwood’s stock performance over the past 5 years? And the stock wasn’t so great before he came on board. Also the company didn’t split because things were so great in the “old” Ironwood.

It doesn’t make sense to judge him after a month.
