Need some insight. Thinking of applying to this job but I live in California and the pay is 36k! Why is the pay so low? Is this company real? What is it like working here? Reviews on glassdoor are mixed, but mostly negative

Don't take the job. I work for PDI now, thankfully. The negative impact on your life isn't worth the peanuts they pay. The CEO used to be a rep in the 80s and thinks he knows the industry. They don't give you a budget and expect you just to walk in and talk to every doctor. And make a ridiculous number of calls while destroying your own car. Nothing positive about the job. When I worked there everyone hated it and were just waiting for a better opportunity to come along. Only positive thing is you can do all your errands throughout the day

Agreed! But you left out a few points...like 2 conference calls a week after hours. I'm on one right now and just got off a national call. My manager is incompetent, so it is a waste of time. And they track you using GPS software. I applied for a real pharma job and the company turned me down because this job was on my resume. Work in an office, work for yourself, etc. literally anywhere but here!
