We are finally seeing the beginning of what everyone in IT feared the most, a total dismantling of the current IT structure. Soon, the end goal, a wholesale outsourcing of all IT functions will be revealed. The key difference with this approach is they remove personnel from the top down. This time, the VPs cannot save themselves as was done during Laverne's tenure.

Not sure how low morale can get in Pharma RD IT? It's only a matter of time before the entire organization is outsourced...

Turbulent times for J&J IT have been going on for years. People walking around the halls saying "You still here"? "You won't go grey at J&J"! The status quo will never change.

When we know who is the new CIO? There are rumors of internal & external candidates but then no announcement. This has been since March, how long does it take?

He will receive clear instructions from the executive team: more alignment with the business, and pharma all the way?

He is a huge proponent of Business IT alignment and had demolished lot of shared services and GTS type of legacy work which doesn’t bring IT employees close to business .. that has been his modus operandi .. it will be very interesting how He will react to current JNJ IT structure
