Did aerie contract with this shady pharmacy in LA or are all the reps directing offices to send RX’s to a specific pharmacy?

Pretty easy to find out when you look at redemption reports and transaction data. Why are rx’s are being filled in LA and shipped to Fresno?

it’s not illegal for offices to use specialty pharmacies. It’s actually a common practice in opthalmology and derm.

Bad intel! Valent bought that pharmacy for a derm product and had cash values to opt out Medicare patients. Alcon guy, I suggest sticking to your terrible glaucoma portfolio that are all going generic soon. It must be hard selling a product like Simbrenza. That is a dog of a product. Rhopressa already has a higher market share in most territories than that drug. It must be hard hearing that NVS is going to cut more jobs and is starting with you guys! I’m sorry Aerie didn’t want you. I hope your severance package will be great!

Can you comment more on what you see happening here with Aerie and Delta?

Aerie isn't contacted with Delta. Some offices use Delta bc they will activate the savings card, help with PA's, and ship the medications to the patients for free.

whoever’s asking about delta must be a non-performer. Why don’t you worry about your own area. If doctors want to use a specialty pharmacy for ease of their patients, its up to them.

I heard they are processing the savings card for Med D patients.

Typical pharma douchebaggery, which is why I don’t work in that industry. I’m not sure if I should take that as they are using Delta in an inappropriate way or not.

This comment sums up Aerie 100%. Arrogant, confrontational, and condescending. Cant just answer a question. It's the culture here through and through (right up to the designation of "performers vs nonperformers").

If the copays in your area are low, you are a "performer". You didn't re-invent the wheel or discover fire for a second time in human history. More people can afford the shit the company makes, via factors that are completely out of your control, than a rep in another area where cost controls are more in place on branded PBM's. You had nothing to do with any of it.

You don't need specialty pharmacies to dispense eye drops but if the prior auths are a bitch it helps with office workload.

Then why are you on this board if you don’t work in this industry douchebag?

So.... the Southern reps seem to be having specialty pharmacies give everyone a 50.00 coupon price. Good thing is the pharmacies names have been submitted and Ben D. Your name has also. Whistleblower at its best. Leaving personal notes and your business cards with messages isn’t the smartest thing. Didn’t you learn from the previous post when the people out in California got in trouble?

Yes, of course these shady pharmacies are processing $50 cards for Medicare patients. Every state has big name pharmacies who will process PA’s of Dr’s do not want to do them. The difference is these particular crooked pharmacies are small mom and pop who can hide a little easier. Does government allow this to happen? Unknowingly sure. Medicare has bigger fish to fry so they overlook the fact that they are paying the other end of $50 for a 90 year olds glaucoma medication.... for now. Medicare should be called in on this to investigate and shut it down, as they are the only ones who could stop it. When Aerie’s legal team investigates then everything come out clean. Shocking!

Had a very interesting day with my manager last week. Doctors were very quick to share how they are getting so many prescriptions through. One even speaks for Aerie. If Kerry in NC is going to be pushing these specialty pharmacies so hard because they run medicare patients for $50 no matter the coverage she should tell them to keep it quiet. Atlanta representative had a similar experience according to management. Very questionable behavior going on and is being reported.

“That doesn’t mean people with Medicare drug coverage are destined to overpay for prescriptions. Under a little-known Medicare rule, they can pay a lower cash price for prescriptions instead of using their insurance. But first, they must ask the pharmacist about that option”, said Julie Carter, federal policy associate at the Medicare Rights Center, a patient advocacy group.

it’s not illegal, but it can be a slippery compliance slope.
