If you buy from the net expect to get burnt at some point.

  2. I'll make this quick. Having been to China 4 times in a year and a half, and seeing all 3 major dental trade shows, and wondering how a tube of something in the US that sells for $140 sells there for $6, I decided to put it to the test and ask a vendor I see at every GNYDM, Heraus Kulzer, once they decided to pay attention to me, because it's not worth their time to do so, I asked the rep how much a tube of composite was, and she told me the MSRP (for China) was $9. Now why is that? Quite simply, their market can't sustain the prices that the US market "thinks" all dentists here can. That's why Henry Schien operates at a loss there. And that's where all your "gray market" product comes from. It's made here, allocated to be sold there, and much of it returns here to be sold at discounted prices. That doesn't make it bad. Just sayin'...

Why? What’s the rep going to do? Save the doc three minutes dialing a number?
