GENDER BIAS ALIVE AND WELL AT AZ

    So true oncology is the worst. Men are in charge and only women who get jobs are little followers who'd never stand up for selves.

    It helps if you are a lesbian. AZ loves them because they won't take pregnancy leave and they count as a double minority for their diversity formula. An African American lesbian is a triple crown winner.

    That is total bullshit sorry. If you had any leadership experience you know it is important to hire as diversely as possible otherwise it becomes same ideas all the time. Different background and experience builds better teams. Im gay and don’t have bias to hire gay. That’s ridiculous.

    Actually, it is important to hire the best and most qualified person. If you are having open heart surgery, you won't care if the surgeon is a woman or a man or a person of color. You only care that they are the best available. When you went looking for a babysitter for your kids would you look for a minority or just the best person? I bet that you would not hire a diverse teenager to come in your home and babysit your newborn.

    There is no diversity of thought at AZ. Remember, AZ is a sales and marketing company that does a little research on the side. That's why we are always a little behind the curve.

    This is so true. AZ talks a lot about the value of diversity but it sees diversity only in skin color, gender or sexual orientation. Diversity means the power of sharing different opinions and challenging the status quo. That is never tolerated at AZ. When was the last time you heard a leader challenge the company strategy or position on anything? They know if they do they will be out of a job or demoted and quickly.

    AZ has business meetings they are not a public forum. This wouldn't happen at AZ if four employees, managers or directors were in the room with a VP or higher. At AZ you simply bobble your head up and down and smile really nice.

    Maybe Az would have braver leadership if they hired more then middle age white dudes who golf and work out all day. They don't want integrity they want to perpetuate their jobs. Its all sad. The CBDs are the worst in the industry. Very few have any respect, several still screwing around with PSS when they get the chance. Women are way less likely to sexually harrass and lie so if they wanted to get better theyd hire better.
