    death of a small company...

    Getting back from sales meeting. Is it me or did it feel like a large biotech company meeting. Novocure is quickly losing the spirit of a startup culture. I was disappointed with this meeting. There seem to be more focus on outward appearance versus real content. FR is a really really nice guy. BUT he’s too BIG company. I sense he’s trying to change the essence of what Novocure had been about. I was also interested in the fact that executives were a no show at this meeting. I hope this is not the beginning of the end.

    Salaries, commissions?

    PLEASE do yourself a HUGE favor and look elsewhere! These idiots (Upper Mgmt and Reg Directors) are absolutely clueless! They've taken a reasonably good "buy out target" company with a stock price of (at one time - $59/share, now less than $30/share) and managed to run off several top notch buy out companies.

    Upper Mgmt's (yes, including all the clueless Reg Dirs) INCOMPETENCE is only eclipsed by their ARROGANCE. Because of their insecurities as Business People, they literally chase away any decent talent they see join the Territory Manager ranks so they won't be found out.

    This company (Novocure) is comprised of dozens of idiots that migrated from another company (which they ran into the ground); if you're not from this elite group (what a joke writing that felt like), you're NOT going to progress in this place. Good 'ol boy/girl Corporate America clubs are alive and well- at Novocure!

    My wish is that if just one good and decent hard working person reads this and it dissuades them from WASTING an entire year or more with these bozos, then I've done a good thing today...

    It’s a bad place. Wouldn’t consider unless you like being treated badly and every decision is made on the extremely cheap side of finances.

    IT and Finance rule this place and doing a shitty job at it. The West RD is a real B! Don’t get on her bad side or you’ll be axed. I’m speaking from experience unfortunately. It’s a good place otherwise. You’re expected to work hard but also get rewarded if you’re successful. Not a place for Pharma retirees.

    Are you talking about MS? If so you didn’t figure out how to manage her. She needs her ego stroked without letting her know you’re stroking it. We have all figured out how to pacify her and get her on your side. My manager is the best at it. She means well but wants to micro manage until it looks like her way of getting it done.

    Dragon Lady That’s a great description of MS. She CAN be brutal. I just do what she says and stay on her good side. I suggest you do the same unless you want the axe.

    It’s a good place. Don’t believe all the negativity here. The senior most leaders are great. They genuinely care about you. The sales VPs can be real tools but they mean well. They roll up the sleeves and help out. The West VP is a control freak. She wants all done her way. Just work for the East and you’ll be ok

    MS is a manipulative queen B! Heart may be in the right place but she needs to work on her behavior. Manages with way too much control. My RM just let’s her do what she wants. No sense in arguing with her.
