Novo is a good company, can't say the same for some of these posters on here. Consolidation, economies of scale, layoffs, divorce, illness, bad timing, taxes. It's all a part of life. This isn't the end of the world. Novo, for the most part, treats its people well. You most likely get screwed over by family and friends more than you do novo. So, relax...
Yeah, you're right Frankie. Some NN manager will say to those affected "It's nothing you did or said. It's just business." Kinda like that scene in The Godfather when Tom Hagen told Sal Tessio "Sorry Sallie. Can't do it. Nuthin personal. Just business" as Willy Chichi removed that Colt .38 Cobra out of Sal's belt. Yup, it is just business, but when a six figure income goes up in smoke, it's kinda hard to NOT take it personal.
The above post has gotten me to doing a little thinking. I guess my DBM is going to be a "Button" on Monday. Willy Cicci (BTW - that's the correct spelling of his last name) was a "Button" in the Corleone Crime Family. What's a Button? Well, when The Godfather told "Cheech" to "push a button on a guy", it was Cheech who pushed the button. Sorry... I thought a little "gallows humour" might help, but probably not. Good luck to all.
