    It is so rude to put people's full names here. Initials are fine, we all know who you are talking about, and names violate the cafepharma terms of use, if anyone cares. Next up-senior management: they are basically OK and interfere only minimally with the sales process. The main cog disrupting the wheel are the DM's. If they spend two days per person, two people per week in the field, we all have RALs every 4-8 weeks. This archaic process of dragging around another body only detracts from the selling process. It is disruptive because everyone spends more time preparing for the manager than they do preparing for sales calls. Wash your car, print materials, type up routing schedule...who cares who you call on as long as you get the bitch/asshole in and out of town as quickly as possible. These power and money hungry managers, care nothing for their people. They care only about themselves, their pocket book and kissing the ass of their managers. So Herm, if you want to become a forward thinking, modern day CEO, then give the managers some selling responsibility. Have them call on a MCO, hospital chain, a large group practice, do something productive. They may generate some new business and the reps ability to perform will be self-evident. One RAL per quarter is plenty when we have non-stop CC, 1:1 calls, reports to generate, etc...Save a shitload of money too!

    P.S. How can we level the playing field by grouping the states that have CII restrictions on mid-levels. These reps should be evaluated against other states with the same law. Reps in states that have no restrictions should be ranked against the same. States that do not allow mid-levels to prescribe CII: TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, GEORGIA, LOUISIANA...notice any correlation? There may be others, feel free to add other states to the list. You cannot evaluate performance when the ranking reports are based on garbage. If you are not in one of the advantaged states, you may be in the bottom half, and thus quickly replaced. GLTA!
