Does Janssen still offer a pension for new hires?

It will never work out for new hires and only pay pennies 20 yrs from now.

the Chinese will be calling the shots by the time retirement age hits, you’re better off being “eliminated” during the great purge of the 2030s

I can't believe J&J promotes this to new hires. Do they think the young people can't do math, Or didn't see their parents get booted out of companies before pensions got payed? They know all this.

How long does it take to become vested in the Pension?

Five years from the date of hire.

No pension for new hires. Defined contribution plan...

Be thankful the pension is going away. It became a target on the backs of all those over 45 and vested.

I left J&J a few years ago but received a buyout for my personal pension. I’m thinking of doing it. If I roll to a regular IRA I shouldn’t have to pay taxes. It’s a chunky sum.

    Great and wise decision.

Since jnj is offering this to you it’s a no brainer that it’s in yous best interest and not saving the company a fortune.

I hope there are a lot more ex jnj ers geniuses like you out there.

Completely and totally laughable. You do realize that the "pension" you sold the majority of your adult life to sit back and try to collect is now in serious jeopardy of evaporating right into thin air due to mounting and credible lawsuits from multiple fronts against several companies from almost every single state in the union for very serious matters, yes?

Do yourself a favor, Red Bold Old Timey Font Person, sell whatever stock you have sooner rather than later and prepare for that pension of yours to *POOF!* into a dust of talcum powder.
