would someone please share their opinion on which company would be better to work for as a rep, antech or idexx?

Both companies blow big time. Idexx has the highest turnover and they could care less about their people. Antech is just as trashy. No support. Territories are huge. Waste of time. You are better off working at McDonald's dude.

They both have good and bad. Antech seems to be going thru some internal issues right now, and doesn't have a clear direction for growth. A couple of reps I know (high caliber, mind you) are extremely frustrutated with the lack of direction.

Unless you are at risk of losing your home, or starving your family, AVOID BOTH and RUN!

Antech is a a sewer. Go read their threads! It's all true.
Idexx does have a higher turnover, but they also have more reps in the field.

    Both have horrible reputations.

run away from either. idexx treats it's employess horribly, while antech has got to be the biggesst gutter hole i've ever seen.

Both won't need reps anymore soon. They're signing everyone to 5yr contracts. Then they'll just fire reps and rehire later if they ever need more.

Idexx is way better. I would never work for VCA.

It's been a few years since the last post. Is IDEXX any better now?

Strung me along for months on a manager position. Every interview seemed like a consultation session for their benefit. I needed a job and tried to answer every question they asked and really felt that I was presenting myself as the best candidate but all for not. They got great strategic and operational advice and I got the shaft. Would not hear back from their recruiter or hiring manager for weeks and when I did, they would respond that they were busy and blah, blah, blah. This recruiter posts on LinkedIn all these articles about treating candidates with respect and value their experience and time but did the total opposite when it came to me. Shame on the recruiter and shame on their hiring practices. I've moved on and can say that I would not recommend IDEXX based on my own experience and on what I've read in these forums.
