we could have a $2B+ product right away that allows us to sell to both Rheum and Dermatology while we wait for filgo.

their women are the hottest in the industry

Dual product, subpar at best. Oral pill is reason for success and first line access with most payers. Considered a fail first.

Hottest in the industry, not by a long shot. A few attractive ones but all derm companies have a cluster of attractive women and men.

What does dual product mean. We are going RA first, then probably GI and have no foreseeable dermatology presence. Don't most of their sales come from dermatology?

I guess there are clusters, but at ACR last year the cluster in the room was the Celgene booth. Would love to see what AAD looks like.

Have a blast working in RA, as brutal a market as neurology and oncology access wise. That plus the fact that it will be used well after the current standards of care, you’ll be lobbying for 2-3% market share.
Gilead needs another Pharmasett type acquisition or you’ll be irrelevant in big pharma before you know it

Do a quick search on LinkedIn. Celgene immunology reps, Otezla, are all former beauty queens/ bikini models

i hope we buy it! There reps have the best access in rheumatology and derm. We need that for the new Jak

Yep- and with how those gals look I’ll be doing som Jak at the next meeting, if you know what I mean!

It would be a bad move and saying otherwise means you are a clown who doesn't know JAK. I agree with the street, let Amgen have it.

If we had Otezla as a wedge with PBMs to guarantee pre-launch open access for filgo, it would be worth $12billon plus. The quicker/earlier we can ramp up the run rate, the more valuable filgo.

We need to buy Otezla, fire all their people, and make it a bargaining chip. The public wants to try a clean oral first. Otezla needs no one to sell it.

Glad the oral is clean because the other end is the problem...diarrhea, here we go again! Also, clean don't matter if you're not clear!

This is exactly why you need their sales force. As a Competitor I watch them sit back and take a mediocre product and made it a multibillion dollar drug. We all didn’t think that they were going to be a formidable competitor and they blew through us like no other. You think you don’t need those reps to sell this product but I would be very surprised if people who had NO Derm experience could come in and Keep with their growth. It blew my higher ups away that it performed so well. ! I hate walking in after the Otezla rep since everyone loves them (female- hot and cool in one part of my territory and a guy in the other, yes i said a guy)
good luck to you all. You would be foolish to cut them if you want that drug to continue to perform but if you do thank you for helping my business grow.

I compete with them as well. I'm just here lurking because I'm interested in your JAK, but I'll say the Otezla reps (at least in Derm) are pretty much the office favorites everywhere I go except in the whore offices that are owned by Abbvie. I was amazed as well at home quickly they launched and how well they continue to do because lets face it, they are selling a placebo. To those who think GI effects hurt them, you either aren't in the market or are a hater because most people would rather have 5 days of the shits versus years of needles penetrating the skin all while giving a background fear of infections and cancer.

The Otezla reps aren't any better than anyone else. The difference is that they spend their time calling on doctors whereas most reps now days for other companies spend their time on teleconferences, web conferences, training meetings, POAs, district meetings, compliance training, gender sensitivity training, fleet safety updates, PDMA skill building sessions and the like.

It's amazing how productive you can be with only 2 directives:
    1-go see docs and sell
    2-top 33% get paid bank

Whoever buys them, their fantasy game is over.

Not sure about all of that, but I am friends with an Otezla rep and she says they only meet once a year for 1 and half days. Says she has never done a single teleconference since there. She says they get paid very, very well if you are near the top. Her only complaints are that she doesn't really know anybody at Celgene other than her DM and she says their data is very suspect. You can be doing great and then the bottom drops out of the numbers and her regional just yells that no one gets as good of data and shuts her down.

    1. We will fuck up Filgo for sure...especially since it isn't first to market
    2. Buying Otezla makes good business sense- so we won't do it
    3. I need to get out of Hep C I hate this place

Sucks worse for Otezla reps. Amgen will just say bye, they would have kept their jobs here
