Don't know if you're aware, but MDL is officially out of business as of the 22nd. Their license was revoked last week.

If it's correct then why are the lights still on, why are people driving into the parking lot and walking into the same building, why are reimbursement checks mailed to the office, why are employees receiving paychecks, why is that pos vt still employed?!!?

Can you be more specific. What license? Where or how did you hear about this? Why was this license revoked?

Do you really have to ask? Carrying the company auto insurance individually, testing that is constantly screwed up, Snapchat as a way of educating the field, and to top it off, local sales management that has NEVER been trained other than to “show up and throw up”! Have a question, ask Betty Lou in St. Cloud, FL. She probably has a good guess! She is a seasoned veteran with MDL going on 3 years! Pathetic!

How did we lose it? Wrong question! Question is, how did a company such as MDL ever get it in the first place??

ok now.......raise your hand if you think vt is a competent mgr and only contributes positive vibes, speaks well of others, does not create conflict, does not come up with asinine rules and is the general reason for staying at mdl. hello? anyone? bueller? bueller?

The sad part of the whole scenario is that many think that MDL is their stepping stone or way into the big league labs. WRONG! MDL will actually keep you out of the respectable labs and even pharma. The longer you stay, the less likely you will see another medical position. Run!

so true. i just hope more reps will see this. mdl is and will be an obstacle / wall into interviewing and working at more respectable labs. worst reputation in the entire industry. vt has made mdl into such a joke. she has made it into an environment that is NOT conducive for professional growth. it's like being back in middle school. my respect for em has dropped to 0 for appointing her and supporting her. i'm not alone in saying this. when i leave this shit hole place i will do everything i can possibly do to take business away from here. sad thing is and most frustrating.......vt and em have already made their money. either of them could retire tomorrow. they don't care.

Heard we reached out to a bunch of labs trying to bill UHC through them. No takers....

Now they are telling the clients that they won’t bill their UHC patients. That should cost them a lot of $$$$. Even EM has said that if the lost BCBS of TX it would close their doors.

Heaven help the sales force that tries to stay in the industry. I was lucky enough to get back with my old lab (big player) and although there is no concern as far as competition, we have a good laugh wondering not if but when they close the doors. Can’t figure out how they have lasted this long but MDL is private- chasing good money after bad. Not one MDL account in my region!

Every MDL rep I worked with back in the day has upgraded their careers in huge ways, so this is a bullshit statement.

If you can sell that POS lab you can sell anything, and alot of labs know this.

How do we get this back on subject? I have a lot of insurances that we are OON with in my territory and clients are getting a ton of calls, what should I tell them?
