How many folks are in HSS? I was told they were notified about employment termination mid September. Good luck to those that were impacted.

none. They either interviewed and got a job or didn't. The joke that was HSS is now over.

Another loser that was either never promoted or was demoted for lack of performance and now attacks anyone in the company and celebrates the unfortunate demise of others.
How sick is someone that cheers for others to fail or to be laid off?

This is a open forum. Who are you the CP police or PC police to tell others how to think. If they think HSS was a waste, so be it. I wish we all thought in rainbows and waterfalls. But we dont. Free to speak your mind.

    Not even close..but nice try.
Was in fact celebrating that the company decided to eliminate a worthless waste of a position which in doing so saves a significant amount of money to retain others who actually contribute to the company’s bottom line so they don’t lose their jobs. Never said I cheered for people getting let go, asswipe . I HOPE the company did the right thing and placed them into other roles since it wasn’t their fault that the company decided to create such a dog of a position.

While they are at it they could eliminate all but 6 Account Directors. Talk about a worthless role and a waste of money.

The MN diabetes ones are a joke. Tripping over ESS, taking credit for the efforts of others, and one didn’t want to actually detail.
    What a waste of money!

And lets not forget the newer "key account leader/director" position. AZ hit this position hard in 17' and are now bringing them back for what is determined to be critical accounts. Yup, many of the same accounts where people were laid off a couple of years ago. I have stopped trying to figure out the logic used by senior leadership.

That’s what they were good At in our area too. Spending their days waltzing around the hospital doing squat after lunching At Panera for 3 hours pretending to work, all the while taking credit for the actual work the rst had done,

Just like in the past, they need a place to put the old farts who end up being an embarrassment to someone in leadership. These are people whose careers flamed out either because they rose to a level of incompetence or they were demoted because of bad behavior and legal didn't feel comfortable firing them outright. So the Account Director role became a safe place to put them. They could no longer harm people with their behavior and couldn't sue because they weren't actually fired. It was hoped that their ego would be so bruised that they would do the honorable thing and resign or ask for a mutual separation. Some did but most just hung around and collected a paycheck. HQ referred to them as the Walking Dead.

Yeah I agree what you say about the AD position. But think of it this way. At least you are not doing embarrassing lunches trying to grab 30 seconds with some doctor and listening to the hogs chow down. Also the AD spends 90% of the time sitting home cutting an email or two for at least $150,000 a year. Hell you go to a meeting couple times a year and say the following "You see one managed care plan you've seen one plan." Overall it's a bigger cake job than the reps and pays a hell of a lot more coin. Why are you making fun of it? It

Very valid points. More money and you don't have to lie about being home all day. I'm never making fun of them again!!

I am not making fun of it. I am just pointing out that the majority of people in that role did not take it by choice. Most of them were forced out of marketing or a sales leadership role and put there hoping that they would resign or seek a mutual separation. When you go from a leadership role into a single contributor role the company is telling you that they don't want you here any longer. But like you said, it is an easy paycheck and you don't quit when no other company would hire you.

Why do we have these people at our meetings?

Why? It gives them something to do and because they always go to meetings. Are you expecting "leadership" (I use this term very loosely as we have very very few leaders). To think outside the established norm at AZ is not part of the culture. Go to the meeting.....eat chicken.....do silly role plays...listen to a talking head spout bullshit. etc etc. This may surprise you but I'm a DM oh an "executive DM" who sees more bullshit then you but has learned to play the silly game called pharmaceutical sales.
