How is the division doing? Worth making a move to?

Definitely not! Mgmt is completely out of touch with reality and we are about to get our asses handed to us.

With Nuvectra and Axonics about to hit the market, this is not the place to be anymore. Hoping our relationships are going to be strong enough to hold on to enough business until I can find a new job.

Why would relationships help when product doesn’t compare, not even close!? We are screwed - my bet is they screw us on retirement too - I heard layoffs are coming to CS and we’ll be covering

Wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t think my docs are going to switch however, with the turnover we’ve had lately, I’m not sure how many people will be able to hold business like I can. But I am hoping we can hold them off long enough for what’s coming.

I don’t think our relationships can keep Axonics out of our accounts. Most will at least look at it and try. That’s what I hear. Guess we will see eventually.

    “for what’s coming”

You must be new here. We’ve been saying “we’re coming out with someone next year” for about the past 8 years. You think it’s just going to magically appear?? You know how many times I’ve told my docs that we’ll have full body MRI? I’m done selling futures because MDT never delivers until its way too late (just look at SCS as a good reference). If we are willing to drop the ball on SCS then do you really think there’s any priority on InterStim?? Seriously though, we are one notch more important than Entarra - don’t be fooled. We already look like a bunch of douchebags. IF we actually do come out with what we’ve been saying for the past how ever many years do you think it will even be worth a shit? Clearly we aren’t doing a study and we already know that this technology is at least 7 years old. Good luck... Stay thirsty, my friends.

Food for thought, I reached out to many high-volume SCS counterparts around the country at Medtronic and all of the reps I spoke with told me that us not having full-body MRI approval with our device is going to be brutal seeing they took a ton of market share several years ago when they were the first SCS company to get full-body approval. They also mentioned that if Axonics hires a lot of veteran SCS reps, they are going to hammer our docs as to why no doc should ever in good faith implant any device that isn’t MRI compatible if there is an MRI-able option especially with our INTERSTIM patient population. I was literally laughed at by some of our SCS counterparts who couldn’t believe that we have never had any competition. Rough times ahead unless Medtronic buys Axonics. Saying lots of prayers!

This seems to be the Medtronic strategy.

If we InterStim reps think we’ve got a chance in hell of keeping our business, we are just stupid. Hell, I wouldn’t choose Interstim over the Axonics device and I’ve been selling interstim for yearsWhat I can’t understand is how Medtronic could let it get this far? They’ve known about Axonics for at the very least the last three years? No one has better relationships than I do- and my doctors are already telling me that they have to do what’s right for the patient. Full body MRI-smaller -and a device that lasts 15 years is what their patients want. I’m getting the hell out ASAP. I wish i would have bought their stock. I am
disgusted that I still work here. Stupid is what I am

Don't worry Medtronic will take care of you! Remember how we totally did not screw anyone over after Hurricane Irma closed down our facility in PR and caused a huge backorder? Oh wait...

You still can buy their stock. Load up like the rest of the RTG brass are.

This is depressing. My docs have been asking me about Axonics for months already. But now potential patients I had lined up are asking docs about Axonics and canceling trials to wait for it to come out. I keep spitting out our new talk tracks- but I don’t think it’s making a difference. I should have left like the smart ones. Now I fear it’s too late. My manger tells me not to worry. They have a plan. But how long until that plan turns into a “plan” to move me out?

Today was fun. Had cases with one of my big docs. He asked me about Axonics. I had to tell him 1) we’ll be launching something soon (been telling him that for years- but this time we mean it!) 2) they don’t have anybody doing it 3) it doesn’t have any data 4) and I would hope he would not just switch for some new hot thing and that my serving him and his patients for years should mean something. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, “I have to give my patients the option”.

I immediately went home and contacted every recruiter I know. We are about to get crushed. If I’ve learned anything from my many years here it’s that they don’t care about us. This is one of the smallest divisions of Big Blue. Get out while the gettin’s good. Don’t wait for the next RIF.

My doc said that constant current is far superior and that Axonics is going to clean up. He told me he would help me find another job. Medtronic is just going to give up and all of the reps are doing to be fired and they will shut down the entire division. It’s definitely going to be a massacre. Everyone needs to start looking for another job immediately. All of the Axonics reps are going to make a million dollars in their first year. They’re having so much fun over there. And the stock target is $900. Man I wish I worked for Axonics.

Word on the street is that Omar is quitting due to the impending ass whooping that you're about to be on the business end of.

It won't be for long. We are coming out with our new device in April, right?
