Benefits at Biogen

I know there is information on benefits, etc. but some items are not answered. Does Biogen do company cars or an allowance? Is the insuramce and premiums by the company pretty fair/average?Also, do they do Amex or do they have Visa business cards? Are you allowed to keep the points for those and for hotels? I know these are minor. but I am looking at several fairly equal opportunities and weighing the benefits. Thank you for your assistance.

 

Not sure about car allowance as that doesn’t apply to my role.

Health Insurance is comparable to most similar sized companies. I have not used the Vision Insurance but I heard it’s above average. Mastercard is the Business card. You can keep hotel/airline points but you cannot choose a airline/hotel based on which brand will benefit you the most point wise...you need to choose based on cost. However, Marriott and Sheraton typically have the lower cost options anyway so it works out fine with being able to keep the points while sticking to the travel policy guidelines.

 

Another benefit I just learned was a very pretty new counterpart. Nice to see the company finally hiring smarter.

 

And severance once they downsize, that’s a benefit.

 

Company car but someone that received latest selector needs to respond on choices—heard they have changed and possibly not as good. Before it was Volvo S90/ Subaru Ascent/ Ford Explorer

 

clearly your opportunities aren’t that good if your even considering Biogen. Worst morale ever. Products are in the ultimate slump. Competition kicking our asses. And a leadership team that is worst in class. Other than that, come on board!

What’s the deal with the territory business manager roles in charge of the two older MS drugs?

 

I have a phone screen next week.
Looks like 4 products, 1 oral, 1 subQ, 1 infusion? Do neurologist actually talk to reps? what are the calls like? I have never called on Neurologists. Currenly covering mental health and the doctors are chatty and lonely.
Do the company offer holiday/summer shut down?

 

Tough access in the MS Centers and ok access in the General Neuro space. Yes...company shuts down between Christmas and New Years.
