Supposedly as of July 1st all ascension medical practices across the country no longer will do lunches with reps.
You are in sales not in catering. So do whatever you can think of that will help you sell besides lunches and snacks. Practice the elevator pitch, the hallway pitch, i ran into you in the parking lot pitch....
The bigger issue at ascension is the shake down for more vendor fees. The companies we sell for are expected to “pay to play”. This effort is spearheaded by the chief sourcing officer. He is Clueless and supposedly from a non healthcare background, clueless.
Similar situation - have ar Big group here and many dr in the group. A lot. They write tier 1 drugs mostly if not all. If you don't have a "special drug" it's impossible to move business. Paid vendor fees and still no access except a lunch once in a 4 months because they are booked so much in advance. No chance you can sell by seeing them 2 times a year. There are 8 MD's or more at the time - they come in, they are super nice ( gives you a good feeling once you leave you know) and listen but hard to move business in a year. It's a HUGE group - most on my list. So f that nice feeling when you can't make quota
don’t be a pussy. It’s your job. If you can’t sell just quit. You aren’t made to compete. No lunches. Now what you gonna do.

quotas in pharmaceuticals are stupid because the data is too easy to manipulate. just move on. leave this industry to the robots that think money is real, and have no clue about who they are or what their is existence is all about. thinkers need not apply in medical sales. real estate sales at least has some validity because you are offering a great product. a home. a place where people can rest from their labor and enjoy life. real for a reason. money is fake, again. grow up people. get you head out of your rear ends.
