I worked at Medtronic for 12 years. I've never seen such INCOMPETENCE in my 30 years of machining. Management has no idea what goes on the production floor. They're all to busy having meetings. The only way the company survives is because they charge so much for their product.

They all talk about helping people, that's a bunch of bullshit. All they care about is money.
I turned 56 and all of a sudden I'm part of a "reduction in job force"??? Good reviews, good attendance no problems in 12 years?? Can anybody say AGE DESCRIMINATION??
Yeah they suck. You can bet your ass if I need any type of spinal product it sure as hell wont be from Medtronic. At Medtronic incompetence is not only tolerated, it's rewarded.

Those clowns runnin that place have no idea they're even in a circus.

Medtronic Danvers, Ma. Needs a new management team. They fell way short on planning and, making the numbers, now the workers are paying for it with mandatory overtime and no vacations. People are exhausted and making many mistakes along with, internal and external escapes. Certain production areas so crowded people are falling over each other and the training of new temp employees is maybe, one day, and then they put them on the production line. Management said their gross backorder was the result of a couple of snow days but, the employees know better, it was poor management. We have no supervisors that supervise anymore, they are all wrapped up in meetings 90% of the time and rarely visit the production floor and when they are on the floor they don't communicate with the workers, they leave that up to line leaders that haven't got a clue. The workers can't get a straight answer from anyone about how long the mandatory overtime will last or when the can use their forfeitable vacation time that will expire in April. Yes! We need a better Management Team.

I hear Corporate doesn't know anything about what's going on in your company in Danvers. I hear people are passing out at work and your workers can't take any vacation and your Co. can't buy your forfeitable vacation hours because it's against co. policy. They are going to wait until after the forfeitable timeline needed to put in for your vacation, (April 18,2014) and report to Corporate that the workers didn't put in for vacation. They say they will give the workers a check in May for the lost Vacation time saying it is a bonus. I also hear they are giving your, useless Line Leaders a $800.00 bonus check for getting the workers to do their jobs for them. I feel bad for the workers. The workers are working so hard to bail out bad management and the stupid management reward the wrong people. What a slap in the face for your workers. Management should be ashamed and fired.

Stop crying and just quit if you hate it so much! Jeez, I haven't seen this much whining since I went to the human society. I am happy to have a job. I'm sure there are others out there that can't wait for you to step off so they may get an opportunity to work for MDT. Sounds like Debbie Downer needs a pep talk from management. Maybe then, you can show a little respect. Lazy fish lover.

You must be part of the Management team or hold a position higher then a production worker or you'd be singing a different tune. I also find it hard to believe that with your attitude and discriminatory remark, "lazy fish lover", that you still hold a position with Medtronic, this type of attitude in the workplace is in conflict with the , "Code of conduct" I think Medtronic would be a better place if you and your kind were to step off and make room for a better person.

It's very interesting to listen to you all complain about wretched Medtronics. As a victim of your dysfunctional company, I would certainly agree with many of your assessments, but I would have to add that at least two of your "Factory Reps" (or whatever you call yourselves) are something less than sterling. Clearly, a human reliability assessment is not a part of the hiring process. I have an Adaptive Neurostimulator that is totally erratic, emitting shocks and stimulating parts of the body, i.e., the sternum, that are totally unrelated to the problem area which is the low back. I find the comment from Factory Rep Nick "I can make it just as miserable for you as I want", (as he has), totally unacceptable, and only one of reasons I have turned the damned thing off and am seeing an Attorney -- Oh! And I will send a little something along to the FDA, too.

Who does Medtronics think they are, anyway?

Just wait until you’re through the honeymoon phase...and they’ve figured you’re making too much money. This time next year you’ll be making no money and hating it.
