So, carry over 5 days. If management says NO, then a check for time not taken will suffice. They have to give it to you in some way, shape or fashion.

Unless you live in one of the states where they must pay you (there are only a few with that law), you will forfeit your vacation unless AZ gives you permission to roll over. I have seen both scenarios happen over the years. Which division is this referring to??

I have to laugh when people complain about not getting enough vacation or not getting paid for days not taken. This is Pharma people, every fucking day is a paid vacation.

The ALL DAY LIE has been my answer to more vacation time! If fact today will be one!

Speak for yourself. I would not want to train in December or November for that matter. The holidays is a time for family. Adding extra stress to an already demanding time of the year is a recipe for disaster. If you want to motivate people, you can't infringe upon what little time they do have with family.

Up here in West Virginia we like to “keep it in the family “..

Bullshit. Nobody has more free time than Pharma reps. This is a part time job at best with full time pay and benefits. Enjoy it while it lasts.

You make me laugh. You are probably the same one that says training during the summer is a bad time since many take vacation or late summer/ early fall since kids are going back to school, or OMG the winter when people have to take time to shovel their driveways.

Just quit. That way you won't have to be stressed during the holidays.

you make me laugh, you corporate drone.

if you don't think this job is stressful, then you are probably not working.
    so, why don't you quit?

They cannot tell you how to take you earned vacation. Period

No, there is no snow where I live so I am not complaining about shoveling snow. And even if I did, I would have a snow blower. Training during the summer is bad because that is when most people take vacation and do repairs to their home. It's a busy time.

DSSrep here. So, we were told 3+week (consecutive) vacation was not allowed.. We are given the week of Christmas off. So, if I use that week, plus another week, say, start MY vacation on Dec 18, which to my understanding is fine, then I’m still getting as much vacation over the holidays as my kid...2 weeks... we were told this at the end of July., so I’ll burn some three day weekends. How sad. FFS, some of you have never had a shitty job and have no idea how good you have it. Most people work the day before and after Christmas Day. Please do the rest of us a favor and resign so we won’t have to suffer another lay-off next year.
