What a mess. This is our HR!? Why is the CEO allowing this to go one? Any you want us to save coins when this is all going on.

VP of Business Planning and Alliance Management is not doing his job. Tell Otsuka to get rid of all leadership team. Get rid of leadership in HR. Start there. They were supposed to help build a good culture not abuse Avanir that we worked hard to build. Show some grits.

The issue is leadership. Elementary level.

Middle leadership is even worse. Unqualified. All Directors and Managers.

Heavy politics all around. stupid ones.

Poor talent all around. If you are filing using talent in R&D and Clinical, it will be a rude awaking. Lots of talk, no good backing. Otsuka needs to continue to ask too many question. Do micromanage the heck out of it, including the waste of money and the lack of people's talent.

I agree that Otsuka is ill advised by keeping these leaders. Too much operational costs. Too much spendings in all aspects. Trying to live the high life with no money. There is no limitation on how much we spend on consultants. People in the office are just high paid administrators. COO spends too much money as well as other leaders. CEO can care less. He knows he will walk out with tons of money. Greed. Shaking head.

Otsuka- what are you thinking? Now the head of R&D is spreding rumors that Other Otsuka affiliates are under DOJ investigation. Is it true?

HR should promote her and bump up her salary.

No worries. She will. This company only promotes and keeps that kind of employee...... if you know what I mean.

Karma. Finally. Hope this karma reaches Kelly from HR as well. Hope you look back and see how many damages were done in this just one crazy year. How many events that were xxxxx took place. If you did not take part in any of these messes, I feel for you. If you did ( including looking away when employees are being wronged), it’s good thing you are gone.

    Take Kelly with you. Please.

Anyone who believes that AM and TT left to be with their families needs to buy that bridge I’m selling on mars! They were forced out. Period!

NO they were not forced out! AM is smart and sees what’s coming (or not coming for that matter). He jumped ship to save what is left of his career before it crashes and burns. TT is just a dumbass who SHOULD have been pushed out but unfortunately WH has a “thing” for her like he does for the ladies. No way he was going to push her out. If she really did find another job then that company has no idea the incompetence they just hired.

Tracy is so full of herself, her family is second to her career aspirations. She was unemployed for 18 months prior to WH giving her a lofty offer with a huge salary, rental apt next to the office to save her from the commute to San Diego, and a title she hadn't had in the past and wanted. She was willing to give up her family time for these things. She was way in over her head, put her people down in her own department to feel like she had her own control (just look at the turn over within HR under her leadership...over half the people there left) at some small aspect of the job since she couldn't add value anywhere else - other than sitting next to WH flirting, touching and kissing his ass. Yes, WH is a womanizer and likes his eye candy. Just observe how he looks at attractive women - and the young ones. It was a match made, but the scrutiny was too much. She cares what people think of her and she knew no one liked her. She's got quit the reputation now. Now maybe they'll get rid of her buddy Joanne whose a washed out HR person trying to be a training leader with no relevant skills other than copy/pasting her way into her leadership programs that people don't like. Not only will Avanir save the money they pay for her weekly travel so she can work and visit her son out here, but the markers and crayons she buys to have leaders color a legacy statement.

This is simply incorrect. They were forced out. In the case of Aziz it was a numbers problem and Wa'el surely wasn't about to take the fall. In the case of Tracy it was Linda M. that got her pushed out the door. It was clear to several of us that Linda had always felt threatened by Tracy, partially because Linda wants to be the HBIC and partially because she doesn't want anybody competing for Wa'el's attention, which Tracy got a lot of. It was weird to watch their dynamic as Linda would quietly lay landmines for Tracy, who would then step on them over and over like a connect-the-dots game, after which Linda would quietly point out HR's shortcomings to the boss. Linda doesn't seem to be good at much, but she is really a master at manipulating the organization to get what/where/who she wants.
