Coverage doesn’t include having to do a song and dance and a PA to get the drug! It also doesn’t mean a Medicare patient has to pay $100 for an eye drop a commercial patient gets a $5 copay for.
It also doesn’t mean that you are covered AFTER you try another product first.
So please define what you call coverage. You have no clue what the reality is in the field and what customers/patients face when they get to the pharmacy or *GAG* on the phone with pill pack.

With the announcement that Novartis is acquiring Xiidra, chances are slim to zilch that anyone connected with the product will be retained. So F-ing glad I never joined that shite show.

Best part of this is, is all the managed care losers who said how great X’s coverage is, are about to be put through the ringer. Now they are going to start looking at Xiidra’s coverage. All you shit talkers for the last 3 years are fucked. Nobody will be around to hide your incompetence.

The fact that Novartis wants less than 200 reps selling an entire portfolio of eye meds, and they kept the stupid pointless FAMs means one thing- there is zero confidence that xiidra will be getting Medicare coverage for 2020. Those getting severance offers tomorrow are the lucky ones, I guarantee it.

You are right. The FAMs can't do anything to help get Xiidra in the hands of the patients. For all of the crap verbiage from Patrick about Xiidra being the 'rocket' in the stable and fueling this asset, what a load. 174 reps for Xiidra while dumping all of their other products.

For all of you who believed JC or MS or your ZD or RM had your back i hope you learned a valuable lesson. I am surprised at how many I talked to did not do anything proactively, no resume update, no interviewing- nothing.
It is always wise to maintain your resume and interviewing skills. And never ever trust what pharma managers tell you. They do not have your back.

The FAMS do absolutely NOTHING to drive prescriptions and have no relationships to help with pull through. You can thank old Shire leaders for selling that dream to Novartis about how fantastic the position is. No wonder they expanded it. In preparation for this nonsense. What a waste. Would have been better off keeping every key account manager from Shire who actually had relationships with the top prescribers in large areas. Big mistake letting go of some fantastic sales people today. The sales force is the face of the product and company. You just set yourselves back in a big way from
hitting that billion dollar $$ mark.

FAMs protected and HZ only ZD protected. What do they have in common? Genentech ties to JS and MC. Hmmmm.

Hey Einstein - if that we’re true why wasn’t JC or MC kept at Novartis? Keep proving you don’t have a clue.

We weren’t lied to. You just want somebody to blame. We were bought and buyer didn’t want all of us. Plain and simple. Move along

Mike said Novartis wanted all 400 of us. That was a lie. He was overly confident and “bullish on the entire OBU”. Said the entire OBU was wanted; not just Xiidra. Lies!

100% exactly what mike said on the call right after we were bought. Before the buyout both him and John talked about “we have Retina bs.” We sure do. It’s Novartis.

Mike and John, stop posting responses.
