LMAO! No layoffs this year. They will come mid 2020. Grey hairs will be offered packages and poor performers will be asked to leave. It's not going to be that bad actually. Many of us will migrated to CAB or to the Oncology division. So relax.

Wrong-Q2 results and trend lines point to continued poor adoption of 2DR to the point where 3 territory POD’s are not economically feasible. Look for layoffs by years end.

Wish I knew who the last post was. I'd bet my house that you are wrong. Layoffs may come, but not by years end. Would love love love to place a little wager with you! What you will see are people being "encouraged" to leave the organization. Either by being placed on a performance plan or being quietly offered a goodbye package. If you are not happy here, one of the best things you can do is to request a "Termination by Mutual Agreement" package. Yes, ViiV has too many reps. The division could be cut by 1/3. Despite what the company is telling you, Oncology / Tesaro will have openings. CAB division will have openings. The potential "cuts" will not be that bad. So please chicken little, spare everyone the hate and fear. Do your job to the best of your abilities. All is good! Just keepin it real!

So why some territories are getting a 4th TAM, if people are being laid-off?

And they're back filling open territories. Look, layoffs may come but not for at least a year. Give it a rest until mid 2020. Then you may begin your message of fear. Keepin it real!

Insider here - the original plan was to have 3 per POD and a TAM. In Home Office the alarm went off because of the incredibly slow Juluca launch (keep in mind, we thought this would be a blockbuster billion dollar drug pre launch). We were so far off on forecasting Juluca, we did greatly reduce our expectations for Dovato which appear to be more in line with reality. Unfortunately, with Juluca’s Performance and initial Dovato sales we are bloated even with a decent CAB launch. HIV is still profitable, but much less so than 2-4 years ago, when we had a leaner sales force and greater share of the HIV Market. We might decrease via attrition in 2019, but unless CAB does far,far better than what we projected it is inevitable we will have to go to 2 max per territory between now and mid 2020. New TAM’s most likely kept with expanded roles, with 2 of 3 current POD reps reassigned or forced out. This is the current plan we are discussing. It could change with a sudden 2DR turnaround, but this becomes less likely every week. Good luck to you all. Stay nimble, be accepting to look at opportunities outside your comfort zone.

Last post sounds legit. That's the sense I am getting. However, the attrition you mention is a "forced" one. Seeing RDs who are older being asked to leave. Seeing poor performing reps being micro managed out. Newer reps have been brought on board to stimulate competition internally. Despite what many are saying, this division is very strong and sustainable. Relatively speaking we have a small sales force. Our U.S. total headcount, including home office, is less than 700 people. Overhead is low and we generate billions x 5 per year. CAB is going to be better than predicted. Changes to come but ViiV is just fine.

False. I won’t share any info on the expectations for JULUCA but this person is not an insider and is so far off base. I don’t understand why people come on this site and spread fake information. Nobody believe this person please.

Relax and do your job. The DTG franchise...FRANCHISE...sells BILLIONS and BILLIONS and BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars. Most of which is profit. Not just revenue, but PROFIT!! Very small unit here. Yes, we are currently a life raft for GSK managers. We have one too many reps per pod. But we are good! Always issues but we are good. As for Jaluca, I believe it is over 750 million in annual sales. Fact check me on that, but that's what I'm seeing. Yes, a lot of longtime ViiV reps need a fire lit under their a$$ but not all. Some reps are pushing 60 years old and need to be put out to pasture. That's kinda what's happening. So relax. Do your job.

Since we are making Billions, screw it - let’s hire 2 More Reps per POD to get our asses handed to us by the competition. Why not? Share of voice has been sooooo effective with the DTG 2 DR launches, right?

No one said that. Not even inferred. We do not need any additional reps. However, our division has too many, and forgive me, old negative reps hanging on because they have nothing else to do. Too many of you have lost your passion for the job and it is blatantly obvious! To me, your manager and to upper management. There will be layoffs. Some of it will be through a quiet tap on the shoulder. Others will receive poor performance ratings and others placed on PIPs. This is already happening. We will eventually go to 2 reps per territory. We will have 1 CARLA rep. We will have managed care reimbursement field reps. We are extremely profitable! You are correct, we will not be the market leader. But we will be a major player in the HIV space with other products to come via R&D and in-licensing. So please, stop with the fear tactics. Stop worrying! Do the job they pay you to do.

If only a rep could do their job but offices are saying no to all the reps and pointless meetings. The poster above is inexperienced and ignorant; layoffs have nothing to do with selection. The legal side and outsourcing firms handle that. Totally unrewarding job

what a bunch of num-nutz. You all deserve to be let go. You have no business acumen and just think you are brilliant and deserving of an above average pay check. You have no idea how much of your existence is luck and good fortune.
