Recent call informed us that most optimistic merger closing is now early November. So management is probably guessing that it’s going to be in December maybe and knowing the way this company is, I predict they’ll do their dirty work in October. Just a guess no inside scoop here.

Looking at Celgene's earnings today and amazed at their ability to perform. Why again are we buying them instead of them buying us? We will take their products and kill them with our culture of systems, not people.

BMS could lay off 3/4 of the oncology sales force and never see any impact on sales. But they would stop the endless bleeding of the welfare paycheck.

Perhaps this is why Vessey from Celgene is taking over R&D post-merger. I wonder how much this will impact R&D layoff decisions in terms of BMS vs Celegene, especially in the immuno-oncology side?

Something has to happen, we are losing ground to Keytruda, and now Imfinzi. Our R&D, clinical trials, and success has taken a huge hit over the years because we set ourselves up for failure. Opdivo, once the number on IO drug on the market is failing, and getting its lunch handed to us because of miss management and the lack of ability to have any successful trials, if the trend continues AZ’s Imfinzi will be second in market share soon. God save us......

What's the latest on Bristol R&D layoffs (including timeline), specifically in Princeton?

    Is it in CV?

Why would they hit CV? We make too much money ( projected $8 bill this year) which we never see and is shifted to IO.

How has this timeline of events been updated with the delay in finalizing deal?

July 19 is Day One only.
We will learn a lot through leaks who's in charge of the teams for which leadership was revealed last week.
Those in the RIF will be notified by Sep 13 but they won't be actually off payroll until 12-31-19
Those who survive will be made aware of their new position, unit and leadership Sep 13 but actual integration will be different for different groups over Q4.
All of commercial will have a national meeting January 13-17 in Orlando
R&D will meet January 8-10 in NYC

How has the above timeline of events changed based on the delay in deal closing?

What did they threaten everyone with to keep them so quiet? Losing their Volvo before 2020? We know IO has taken a hit

Some of the most sneaky and paranoid people I ever associated with work here. Quite pitiful.
