Ah-ha! I know YOU! In fact, everyone reading this post knows YOU, because YOU are in their district. Or, WERE in their district. YOU were the rep who stopped selling during Patient First. YOU complained, “Why sell, they don’t pay us on it.” YOU were the rep that cheated on tests. If you studied the data there’s no need to kiss butt because we’re best in class. (In your post, YOU said kiss a$$. Vulgar mouth = vulgar mind). I’m proud to work for GSK. I sold Ventolin, Flovent, Advair, etc and we helped alot of patients breathe. Our meds are affordable (hence the narrow margins) and backed by extensive clinical trials. I didn’t fake calls like YOU. I was there for patient hugs in the waiting area, words of praise in the parking lot and physician success stories at lunch.

Your negativism is like a cancer that needed removal, extracted, during the last re-org. You were stinking up this place of honor and needed to be taken out, not unlike a bag of garbage.

Stop sitting around, playing with yourself, and trolling this site. You were separated and for good reason! We finally got rid of you! Bye-bye fool!

I’m critical of GSK, but be realistic Pharma has treated many people well IF you’ve had some longevity. This place is far from perfect, but the pay and benefits are nice.

The part that is bad is the culture and toxic environment, make sure to focus on that fact. Attacking people that work here really don’t highlight everything if it’s not targeting the real issue, those FLL and up.

Remember, this is a market share leading company who has fumbled away future success. GSK could easily be an amazing place to work, but they have chosen toxicity over workplace happiness.

What a mind-numbing "job". I came back from another company after leaving for four years and found it's all a scam these days. The job now entails sitting around in sample closets or break rooms waiting that maybe some provider will come back - and they lust love COCO/SOB/CBCC/GSO week after week. Can't imagine doing it for 20 years. Then there's the management by metrics - like Anoro - 30 targets, lots off no sees, and the beatings continue over low call activity. Right, folks are getting 8 calls a day. On rep could handle the entire Elipta portfolio instead of four. Generic Advair and AZ's triple will kill off resp.

To post #21. Uhmmm. YOU may want to start taking your meds again. I think COCO has caused you to have a nervous breakdown. Patient hugs and physician praise? C'mon! Really? This may have happened to you on one or two occasions but I feel you are embellishing just a bit. I know YOU as well. Pardon my vulgarity..YOU are the a$$ kisser who stabs your colleagues in the back! YOU are person who annoys both customers and counterparts alike. YOU are the individual who has an overinflated view of themselves and this company. YOU are the one who needs to get a life.

You put a lot of effort in that! Just think if you’d put that much effort in your education, you may have been able to do something of value with your life. Instead you get to take lunch orders for the big pigs in reception. Now hurry up and bring in that lunch delivery chump.

You don't fake calls w metrics that are being required?? BS. Unless you live in the middle of the sticks where reps still get access then maybe so but most we can't see these customers nearly as much as they want us to. I admire your passion for the products but come on..... you're putting it on a tad thick. Leads one to believe maybe you're not living in the real world or maybe you're speaking from an Ivory Tower somewhere assuming you know what it's really like out here in the field.

Up to this point I’ve managed to play the game fairly well in respiratory. However, my motivation is now at an all time low. My manager is pretty harmless, but provides absolutely zero value. All our offices have had it with me dragging him in their every month, and these are bottom of the barrel offices that I only call on because I have to take this guy somewhere. My two other counterparts are Syneos reps and they’ve managed to win over some good customers. They’re decent reps and work just as hard...probably harder than myself for half the pay and mediocre benefits. The writing is on the wall, but I just continue to turn my head and trudge along with the show. I don’t think I can handle another national meeting. I can’t imagine roll playing all week, and then showing up to allergists that I haven’t seen in years and facing those buzzsaws. Breo reps have better relationships there than I do now. I think I’m ready for a package at this point. I just hope that the company would still offer it, even though they’re in asthma launch mode. I’m ready to tap out

Try coming over to HIV, where we have 3 to 5 of us fighting to stay relevant as our product tanks. I think we are all trying to tap out

There is no tapping out! You will COCO until you enter into the asylum that GSK management built. Hornsmoker, no reps do the bullshit COCO game unless one if the overpaid psyco babysitters gsk calls “leaders” are with them. It’s laughable after 2 years! Better gear up for the new super duper sales model, it’s about that time.

I use my Syneos rep to do all the heavy lifting, and mainly just do lunches so I can bring home some food. Then I throw them under the bus to my manager and say they’re just sample dropping. This way I stay on my managers good side, and we both can continue to bleed this job for all it’s worth. Cha-Ching $$$ Corporate is non the wiser

Learn how to work the system!

I honestly can’t understand why respiratory hasn’t been turned over to Syneos to promote yet. With all the generics entering the market, this division isn’t a sustainable moneymaker anymore. Even after paying out the GSK severances, the company would save MILLIONS of dollars and still have a sales force capable of promoting the portfolio.

So, how long have you been at Syneos?

What we have here is a Syneos rep with penis envy. Clearly, you are trying to project as if you are a non contract rep... However, you suck at it probably just as much as you suck at sales.

Look at other company boards on cafe pharma. GSK is the most toxic by far! At some point our board of directors needs to take a look at our leadership.

If it wasn’t for the benefits and my 401k, I’d jump ship to Syneos. I can’t stand this place
