    How do PIPs work here?

Does Bayer only verify employment dates? Do they answer "is employee eligible for rehire"?

I thought there was a law that employers can only verify job title and dates of employment

Unless you are on a compliance/FDA blacklist you're good to go.

The previous poster is correct; a prospective employer can investigate anything they want and most employment forms have language where the applicant gives them explicit permission to access information not otherwise available.

That said most previous employers will confirm dates of employment and last position only to avoid lawsuits from their former employees. That in itself causes problems for some because if the prior employer will not many any positive comments about the applicant some managers take that as confirmation that there is negative history. You need to find at least one person willing to say informally "Yeah, Joe is a good guy. We were sorry to have lost him.". HR will generally stick to the script.

Agreed. Pharma is a small world and a decent/smart DM will ask around to get a good read on a candidate. I've done it plenty of times to avoid hiring a poor performer and the resultant managing out process. Shocking how many reps are on a merry-go-round of interviewing well, getting the position and then knowing how to drag out the process to avoid being let go.

Also a good reason why it's smart to build your network so that you're a referral candidate for the next job.

Your a so called manager. What a joke. Managers are not even needed in this industry. It kills me how you’re a rep for one or two years and then you think that your big man manager . Ugh!!

Aww, look at you... you are so special and so much smarter than the rest of us "little people". So pretentious, elitetist, and full of yourself. So sorry you have to bear the burden of dealing with all the peasants that are less perfect than yourself. So full of yourself that you actually agree with your own original comments.

Leave, leave, leave.....there are so many people who want your (our) jobs. If you’re not happy here, we don’t want you. You are a liability to our team that wants to be here.

So, let me get this straight... you come on this site to read about all the positive things, to spread cheer? This board allows people to vent their true experiences and feelings. Discuss things they are otherwise suppressed from discussing. I’d recommend if you can’t take it, you leave... from this site. Chances are you are just a crony anyways, trying to clean up Bayer’s ugly mess.

Just hear to bring positive, happy vibes.
It’s a message board and it can be used for anything like asking questions, ask about updates and rumors. And yes, you can complain. It’s obvious that you've mastered that . Or one can share happiness about being here at Bayer. I’m choosing happiness! You can choose misery. Enjoy

Have you heard the rumor then that they realigned the Areas and they are absorbing territories as people leave?

Cheer is back! Have a great rest of your week and move some IUDs in your territory

Don’t play victim. Beat the competition by being a better salesman.

Sorry, but please quote where I complained? And please quote where I am not happy? Your words sound very judgey and you are degrading people for stating how they feel, just because you perceive it as not positive enough for you. I believe you may benefit from trying to be empathetic to how others feel instead of just insisting they be more positive per your perception.
