Who Lied?

VH is one of the BIGGEST snakes of Shire/Takeda/Novartis and was from the very START of OBU to the very END. Pity anyone who trusted him, especially after they knew him well.

 

Here is the deal. ZDs and RDs didnt know a thing. This was executive leadership all the way and they were the ones involved in discussions. JS probably knew and Im sure he passed it on to Mike.

Now here is the reality. Part of the deal was to take all dedicated Xiidra employees. With that Novartis takes responsibility to all severance costs, retention bonuses etc. This is where (we want the everyone) came from . It was part of the deal negotiated by Takeda. What Novartis did with us after bringing us on was solely up to Novartis. Did Novartis say they wanted to learn about the state of the busines the strategy, what worked and didn't work so they would keep the wheels on for a little while? That is debatable depending on who you talk to. Rumor is that is what they were saying. Mostly everyone was blind-sided with the quick decision to gut most of Shire/Takeda away from the product. They barely even asked the teams (marketing, sales and training) for any advice. Novartis was basically like "we are all set, thanks but no thanks". Lets see how they do? Medicare bids are already in so they wont be able to make a good bid until 2021. No PArx, no Ask iiRis will definitely shake up what the sales team had put in place over the past 2 years. Add in mainly a new sales team with no OD presence and I see 2020 being a very slow year for them. They are banking on getting Medicare in 2021 and thats no guarantee because generic cyclosporine will eventually show up. Medicare doesn't want to pay for dry eye anyways and I think they will step all branded dry eye products.

In summary, if anyone new it was JS. Stop crapping on the ZDs and RDs like they knew because no one knew.

 

I can’t let this go. I’m unemployed on Labor Day due to the lies that JS, MC and many of the ZDs and RDs spewed. Don’t let these guys just drift off into the sunset!

 

STOP! Nobody at Shire lied about the Novartis actions!! It is called business and unfortunately, cuts are an everyday occurrence in pharma. Shire management had no input in Novartis' decisions. To the previous poster, man up and quit being a whiny snowflake.

 

Yes. They all lied. I listened to them and bought their story. I don’t have a job but I learned from this experience. I know who I would work for again and who I would choose not to.

 

Don’t worry - pretty sure they would never hire the Kobe rejects who made a living off free drug anyway. You should be good!

I really do not think MC or the zone directors lied. I think they were lied to by Sam and Patrick. Both of those guys are as dishonest as the summer day is long. Clearly they don’t have a clue what they are doing, but I don’t really care. I will sit back count my severance, start a new gig, and move on, but I will watch Sam and Patrick slowly destroy what we built and I will lmao as mkt share decreases. And when I finally get my last check from Novartis I will have the satisfaction knowing I no longer have to deal with those idiots. For those that were “mapped” good luck, you’re gonna need it.

 

Mike C. is the biggest liar of them all. Remember a year ago when we had a conference call and he told us the POA meeting scheduled in LA (after we already had airfare and hotel booked) is not cancelled....it will just be rescheduled as a WebEx! Hilarious Mike! You were delusional then and delusional when you said Novartis wanted all 400 of us! I’m on the street thanks to you!!!
